-School-
First day of high school. Seems like something that scares everyone. Mostly when you just moved in to the area. You know that feeling that you get when your on the bus, and everyone has their friend to talk to, and your just there staring out the window? Yeah. That's how I feel at the moment. It's a scary feeling. Almost as if you just don't fit in. But you always have that ounce of hope in you that you'll make a friend for life. From experiences with movies, I think the number 1 thing a girl in high school wants to do is become popular.
Popular.. The thing I'll never be or become. Usually the "popular" girls have the most luxurious flowing hair, a beautiful face and smile, and a lot of friends. But according to movies, a lot of makeup too. Casual.. They usually have the "popular" boys go after them. Most likely a jock, or head of the football team. Unless that's not really reality.
The second I step off this dumpy bus, I'm going to find the truth to being in high school. The truth to how "magical" and "romantic" it is. Hopefully I don't walk in to see boys and girls smothering their faces into wet kisses against the lockers. I'd probably be scarred for life.
I continued staring out the window of the bus. It's practically dark out. I mean, it IS 6:40 a.m. But it looks like the middle of the night.
Then I heard some mean dude scream out "LEMONHEAD" on the bus.
Lemonhead? I thought to myself, who is lemonhead? I stood up on the bus and looked ahead to see a short girl. Glasses and all. She must've been in special ed. She looked and sounded like it.
I turn my head quickly to head the same boy scream lemonhead again. I glared at him and stood up.
"Who are you calling lemonhead?" I asked, with a tone.
"Her of course." the boy said, pointing to the special ed girl. Now that's jacked up.
"Just leave her alone." I said.
"Ha. Are you trying to stand up for your special friend? Awe. That's cute," he said, talking to me like I was a puppy dog.
"Yes, yes I am. And what are you gonna do about it?"
"Oh, so you wanna play THAT game..." The boy smirked and then punched me right in the cheek, and hard.
I screamed at the spot, and sat back down, holding my swollen cheek. I didn't play that right at all...
