Miku'sPOV

Miku woke up feeling very excited. Today was the day of the art competition. Her school, Minegold High had an art competition that she was participating in. Miku was into art and she was good at it too. If she won this thing then she would get five hundred bucks. With that money she could buy a LOT of art supplies. She squealed with delight and hurried to the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and washed her face. She went downstairs and found her big brother Mikuo Hatsune sitting at the dinning table enjoying his breakfast. Miku glanced at his plate and saw four pancakes and some bacon lying there in a pool of syrup. She walked over to him and hugged him. Even though Mikuo was older than her Miku was way more mature. Her brother however was very sensitive and weak. He often cried when he got back from school because someone at school had bullied him. Miku was the social type but Mikuo was the antisocial type. Mikuo turned around and smiled when he saw her. She kissed him on the forehead and smiled back. He continued with his breakfast and Miku sat down and ate her breakfast in silence. After she was done she walked to the sink and washed her hands. Then she grabbed her backpack and hurried out the front door to her best friend Luka Megurine's house. She knocked on the front door two times and waited on the front porch. Soon the door opened and she saw Luki, Luka's brother's face. She waved.
"Hi. Could you call Luka please?" She asked him. He smiled and nodded his head.
"Luka, Luka. Miku is here."
"I am coming Miku." Came Luka's voice from upstairs. Soon Luka and Miku were walking down the sidewalk to their school which was five blocks away.
"I hope you win the competition." Luka said. Miku smiled and walked on. Luka locked hands with Miku and Miku felt her warm hands. They crossed the streets and were in the school hallways in no time. They walked past different classrooms until they reached the theirs. They walked in and found their friends Rin and Len Kagamine, Kaito and Akaito Shion, Gakupo Kamui, Gumi and Gumo Megpoid. Luki freed her hands from Miku's and joined the Kagamines. Miku had to go help Ms.Harumi, the art teacher. Ms.Harumi had asked Miku for help because Miku was her favorite student. She walked down the hallway to Ms.Harumi's room which was in the same hallway as her class but at the very end. She reached the doorway and stepped in. She saw Ms.Harumi bending over the table in the middle of the room. She walked over and and touched her back.
"Hi Ms.Harumi." Her voice echoed through the room. The startled Ms.Harumi spun around and faced Miku. She let out a sigh of relief and laughed.
"You startled me." Ms.Harumi said smiling. She was wearing a pink dress with a white belt. She wore her black, straight hair loose. She handed Miku a big box with art supplies and carried a big box herself. She waved her hand in a follow me motion and walked to the door. They walked all the way to the auditorium in silence and set the boxes on the floor. On the stage to the right there were five pieces of paper and five of the boxes they had been carrying laid next to them on a big brown table. Ms.Harumi clapped her hands and motioned for Miku to come. Miku walked over to her and Ms.Harumi handed her a stack of five foldable chairs. Miku took them under her arms and followed Ms.Harumi to the audience area and set the chairs there. They did that for a until they were all out of chairs. Miku and Ms.Harumi bent over Ms.Harumi's bag because she had told Miku to pick a treat. There were a bunch of things in there but Miku picked a chocolate donut with springs which was covered in a plastic wrapper. Miku carefully opened the wrapper and took a bite. It was so good. She could taste the rich chocolate. She smiled and thanked Ms.Harumi politely. Ms.Harumi smiled and hugged Miku.
"I know you'll win." She said. Miku smiled. After Miku was done with the helping stuff she walked back to class taking her time. Any second now she would be called back to the auditorium for the competition.
"Good morning students and staff. Today is the day we have all been looking forward to. The art competition. If you one of the ten participants kindly walk to the auditorium. Ms.Harumi will give further instructions." The speaker boomed. Miku smiled to herself and walked back to auditorium. She saw Ms.Harumi greeting other children who were in the competition. She walked in and waited for Ms.Harumi to tell them what to do next.
"Okay kids first of all congratulations. You may go take your seats on the table on the stage. There should be name tags next to each person's supplies." She said cheerily. There were totally nine students excluding her. There was Len, Luki, Gakupo, Gumi, Akari, Kiyomo, Keiko, Kira, and Izumi. Miku's spot was at the end. She took her seat and waited patiently. Slowly people started to flood in. Miku saw Luka and she waved and Luka waved back. Mikuo held up a thumbs up sign. Her teacher Mrs.Mizuki smiled and waved to MIku. Miku smiled back.
"Welcome Students and staff. I am proud to announce our annual art competition. These are our contestants. Miku, Len, Luki, Gakupo, Gumi, Akari, Kiyomo, Keiko, Kira, and Izumi. Lets give them a round of applause." They were drowned in a wave of applause. "Let us begin. Okay." Ms.Harumi turned towards us. "Lets begin. You can draw whatever you want as long as its appropriate." Miku watched as Mikuo looked in his phone and silently walked out. Five minutes later a secretary rushed into the room.
"A student named Mikuo Hatsune was killed in the boys rest room!"
