I quickly pull out my phone while Mr. Barret's not looking to check the time, and I see that it's 10:40 already. I'm on question 277/300, so I'm close to being finished. I looked in front of me and noticed that Jonah still looks well-focused on his test, so I'll go slowly and try to end around the same time that he does.

I've been sitting here at my desk, nearly finished but just waiting for Jonah. Then I see he gets up and I whisper to myself "Shit!", I think he's finished... I bullshit these last few questions and turn my paper in. Oh no! Jonah starts to walk out of the classroom with his friends. Is it too late to catch up with him? I'm not sure if it'll be worth it, but this is my only chance. I can do this. I grab my backpack from my desk and head out of the classroom.

As I'm walking through the halls, I see Jonah and his friends go into the bathroom at the end of the hallway. The girls bathroom is right near here, so I might as well go in the bathroom to stall time and check my hair and make sure there's nothing in my teeth. I look.....decent, but it'll have to do.

I start walking towards the exit by the guys bathroom while I'm on my phone to avoid eye contact with any other students wandering around the halls. Just when I start reading one of Jc Caylen's tweets, I accidently bump into someone and my phone drops.  Without even taking a glimpse I say "Oh, sorry," to them.

I take a look and freeze for a second because I realize it's Jonah. We both look deeply into each others eyes, almost like we had some sort of connection. I was staring into his beautiful, blue eyes. "Uh hey you dropped your phone!", Jonah says to me and leans down to pick it up and then hands it to me. When he picked it up I noticed it was cracked. "Ugh oh my gosh it cracked" I say sobbingly. "Woah I hope I didn't do that" Jonah says. "Oh no you're fine, it's no big deal. It was my fault for not paying attention." "No I feel really bad for bumping into you. My dad works for Verizon so I could get you the phone repaired for free. Please, let me."

On the inside right now, I'm freaking out, but I have to play it cool. Is this really happening? Is Jonah talking to me? I didn't even mind the crack, because it was something that Jonah caused. I'm not sure if I even want it fixed.

"Umm well I guess if you really want to....are you sure it's ok with your dad?" I say nervously. "Yes trust me, I'll tell him you're a good friend and it was my fault for damaging it. Here I'll even call him right now."

Jonah's friends come out of the bathroom and he just does a quick wave to them while they walk away. He calls his dad and they talk, and his dad says they can easily fix the phone, and he'll even do it for free! "Awesome! Thanks so much!" I say with a big smile. Chuckling a bit, Jonah says  "See I told you it was fine!"

"Hey well I gotta get going, but I'll text or call you soon about your phone, Cecelia. What's your number?" Jonah says and hands me his phone to add my number in. I put my number in his phone and give it back to him, smiling. "It was really nice talking to you, Jonah. Have a great summer!" I say to Jonah. "Yeah you too! I'll probably give you a call tonight or something, whenever my dad lets me know everything. See ya."

He smiles, waves and walks away. I can't believe that just happened. Jonah had a full on conversation with me! I start heading out to my car ever so happily. Nothing could ruin my mood.
