“I have a big shipment coming in this Friday and I need you five to pick it up” Marty says sitting in his big chair. “What are you supposed to do?” Danny asks with extreme seriousness. Danny has always took this job seriously; she came from such a tough past it’s no wonder her mind set is the ‘only the tough survive.’

“I want you girls to sell it, at my club” Marty says with a devilish grin. I look over at the boys who have gone all tense when Marty mentioned his club.

Marty’s ‘club’ is the biggest strip club in town; his customers go from the scumbags to the richest men in the world.

I see Zayn about to say something but I tap his hand, shaking my head and he backs down. Tell Marty off would not be a good choice on Zayns part; I know he doesn’t want Perrie working as a stripper and selling coke but it has to be done, it apart of the job.

“This is not fucking right! The girls shouldn’t have to sell the shit and strip!” Liam says under his breath but just loud enough for me to hear as we walk back to our cars. I pat his back and stay silent. I know better than to say anything to Marty because he can take you off the map; and by that I mean kill you, and make it look like an accident.

“Liam babe, we’ll be fine; we can take care of ourselves” Danny reassures Liam. I can tell he forces a smile but I know Liam is freaking out on the inside. He stresses over everything. whenever a new shipment comes in he goes over the plan ten times just to make sure everything goes smoothly and no one gets hurt… someone usually gets hurt though.

The last big shipment Marty brought in Niall was shot in the arm and he had to go to the hospital it was so bad. To be honest I was really scared that night, I thought I was going to lose one of my best friends and I don’t deal with loss very well.

After I drop off the others Texas and I head home in silence. This is making me nervous; Texas usually doesn’t stop talking, something is wrong.

“Are you okay?” I ask as we pull into the parking lot.  She doesn’t say anything; she just stares out the window.

“Texas?” I place my hand on her thigh and she jumps. “Sorry” I say softly.

“What did you say?” she asks, breathing a bit heavier from the scare.

“I asked if you were okay” Texas nods and get out of the truck; I follow.

There is definitely something bugging her, but what? I mean it can’t be the shipment because she grew up with this; it should be a walk in the park right?

Once we get into our flat, Texas goes straight to bed. Okay something is most definitely wrong.  I crawl into bed next to her; wrapping my arm around her waist I pull her close.

“Texas, what the matter?” I simple ask. she let out a long breath of air and says “I- I can’t go be a stripper for Marty” she says quietly. I move my thumb in circle on her hip. “when I lived in New York, I was a stripper for his associates and I was a mess, I almost died; I just can’t go back to that place” she whispers the last part. I don’t even know what to say. Texas is the toughest girl I have ever met and here she is telling me that she can’t do something. I don’t know how to react.

“You’ll be fine” I said without thinking. Why did you say that? Now you sound like a dick, trying to push her to do something she clearly doesn’t want to do!

“I guess so” she says before falling asleep.

Tonight Marty’s big shipment is coming in. the boys and I have to go and pick it up at the loading docks downtown. Usually I’m not ever worried but for some reason I’m on edge today.
