The Magic in Me

Emma's POV
We got to the town line and we couldn't get over! Great. Now how were we even supposed to get back? We came all the way here for nothing. I want to rip the gray beanie that I was wearing off my head, throw it on the ground, and stomp all over it. I was exhausted because I didn't get more than an hour of sleep on any of the planes AND I had to drive for almost 3 hours. Killian claimed he didn't know how to drive a "land vessel".
I composed myself and walked over to Killian.
"So we are totally trapped on this side?," he questions.
"Wait! Does Regina still have the Snow Queen's scroll?," he asks excitedly.
"No. It was destroyed when we went to find Lily," I say sadly.
He sits there and thinks for a moment. After what seems like hours, his face slowly lights up.
"You can do it!", he exclaims.
"What?! How would I be able to break the barrier, Killian?," I say in confusion.
"Your magic, of course!," he shouts.
"But Killian I haven't practiced in forever! Not since before our trip! How will I be able to do it now?," I ask him.
He stares deep into my eyes with his beautiful blue ones.
"Because I have faith in you"
I take in a swift breath and nod.
"I'll try," I say.
He smiles at my quick change in confidence. I stand in front of the barrier and try to concentrate. I start to hear my magic, but I don't open my eyes just in case it ruins it. Just as I think my magic will work, I hear it start to go away. I open my eyes in confusion and loon at Killian. He looks confused but says,"Try again, love"
I nod and try again. It doesn't work. Try.
Fail.
Try.
Fail.
This seems to go on forever. I try once more and this time I think of Killian. I hear the magic ascending and ascending and then I'm shot back from the 2 different magics colliding with each other. I am thrown back so far that I go past my yellow bug. The last thing I see is Killian rushing to my side looking very concerned.
Then everything goes black.
A/N: hey everyone! So how did you like the chapter? I love cliffhangers only when I'm the one making them. 😛 please comment suggestions on what I can do to make my stories better? My grandparents surprised me by coming today and I don't really see them that often, so I couldn't update till now. But better late than never right? Okay so I came up with this idea: if someone comments on my latest chapter what I ask the readers, I will read one of their stories! I don't know if I should do it though. I feel like is the best way for me to communicate with you guys. And for the ones that are awesome to read all of this. 😘
