Byun Baekhyun was jumping up and down in the bus while he and his best friend, Park Chanyeol, were heading to their university to start a new life. Seoul University was like Baekhyun's dream school and got a scholarship that he worked hard for. Baekhyun got an academic scholarship, while Chanyeol got his scholarship for being a varsity player back at their school.

"Geez, Baek, could you calm down for a bit? You're making quite the scene here," Chanyeol told Baekyun as he bouncing non-stop on his seat and people were looking him suspiciously, "People might think you're crazy."

"Oh come on, Park Chanyeol, please tell me you're not not excited to be in Seoul University," Baekhyun said as he stopped bouncing and raised his eye brow at Chanyeol, "I thought this was our dream school."

"Correction, your dream school Baek. You just forced me to come with you remember and I think the excitement doesn't have to be shown in the bus. Could that enthusiasm of yours wait when we get to our room?"

"Okay, whatever you say." Baekyun scoffed and sat still while looking at the bus window. Chanyeol chuckled at his best friend when he heard him whispered "Killjoy."

Baekhyun and Chanyeol were best of friends ever since elementary school. Baekhyun was always being bullied for being too feminine, which irritated the people around him and would always pick on him. Baekhyun never had the guts to tell any of the teachers about it, because he knew that it would just make things worse. But luckily when a kid transferred to their school the first thing he saw were the other kids bullying a helpless little kid in the corner of the classroom. He quickly told the kids to back off and leave the little kid alone and mind their own business.

"You okay there, buddy?" the kid asked as he tapped on Baekhyun's shoulder, "They didn't hurt you, did they?"

Baekhyun could only shake his head and not say a word. This is fairly new to him. No one has ever stood up for him in school and talked to him afterwards. He looked up to see it was a boy he'd never seen before. He didn't know whether he should ignore the boy or thank him for standing up for him, but he was too afraid.

"I'm Park Chanyeol, the new kid here in school and I guess we'll be classmates." He smiled, showing his white and beautiful teeth and held his hand out to Baekhyun, but Baekhyun was still afraid and uncomfortable with this feeling. "It's okay. I don't bite."

Baekhyun gulped and reached out his hand to shake the boy's hand and managed to smile at the boy awkwardly. He was taller than Baekhyun by a few more inches and he just realized he has not introduced himself.

"I'm.. B-Byun Baekhyun," Baekhyun said as he was still smiling awkwardly at Chanyeol, "I.. Uh.. Thank you for umm.. Saving me."

"Ah that was nothing. Besides it was only natural for people to help one person when one's in trouble, right?" Chanyeol said as they let go of their hands and patted Baekhyun's shoulder, "With me by your side, no one would pick on you again, I promise."

Baekhyun bit his lip when Chanyeol said that no one would ever hurt him again with him by his side. Things escalated pretty quickly with him and Chanyeol as to what Baekhyun thought. From then on, they began to hang out ever since. Baekhyun's mom thanked Chanyeol for doing such a thing for Baekhyun and eventually the two became best friends and so did their own mothers. It was quite surprising for Baekhyun to finally have a friend who was always there for him and never did they left each other. Whenever the two were separated in classes their mothers would insist on transferring either one of them so that they could be together in class, because they insisted that this could prevent any other forms of bullying to either one of them and the school agreed to that.
