Is this the end?

New friends

You know that happy feeling that you get in the pit of your stomach? Every thing seems right with the world? Nothing could possibly go wrong because you have a dad who loves you. A dad who will fight off every monster that comes tapping on your window at night. With shining armour and a gleaming sword. Dad.

It had been nearly 3 days since Andi had found his dad (or the other way round more like) and he finally felt that deep hole in his heart slowly refilling every time he turned around and saw his father smiling at him. Now he couldn't help but smile back.
Right now Andi was standing in the cafeteria line waiting to be served lunch. And you might be thinking right now, how did it get to this? Well, let me explain. After Andi was reunited with his father, he was offered if he wanted to stay and help his dad and the cooperation track down the mystery monster roaming around the world. He would get special training, free food and an awsome new place to stay. Andi of course couldn't say no to this....but, "what would mum say?" Andi frowned. He couldn't leave her, she'd be heart broken "don't worry about that! I'll take care of things" his dad gave him his best smile. "That's the problem dad. What happens when she sees you? will she have a heart attack? Keel over and die? Faint? Don't forget, in her mind you are as dead as a-" "ok, ok! I get it! Fine. Seeing my face again might be a little hard to handle but hey! She's tough!" And then he was off to try and claim back his wife's heart. Well, that was about two days ago now and Andi was wondering what had happened. It's ok! Don't worry! They'll be back... Instead Andi decided to focus on his lunch. A hunk of bread and a strange mixture of rice and curry. Not too bad? He glanced around the cafeteria. This place was so high tech even the eating area looked like a futuristic space station with its sleek curves and polished to perfection surfaces. On one side of the massive cafeteria a huge panel of glass took up the entire wall. The window gave a clear indication of the weather each day. Today strange wispy grey clouds where grouping together. Rain was the first thing that came to mind. Andi groaned. All bad things seemed to occur on days like this. "ANDI! AHOY THERE" that'd be Mark coming to complain about the food. Andi turned to see his best friend navigating through the tables to reach their favourite spot closest to the massive window. But today there were two other boys with him. Who were they? Mark plonked him self next to Andi and the two boys sat opposite. One of them was chatting away to Mark.He had light brown hair tied up in a stubby little pony tail and excited hazel eyes. His companion a boy with dark eyes and black hair falling in around his ears sat there silently. "Hi Andi!" Mark sounded real pleased with himself "meet Dauntei," he pointed to the ginger haired boy who smiled and shook andi's hand "nice to meet ya" "Andi this," Mark smiled at the dark haired boy "is Koby"Koby just nodded. "I met them in the cafeteria line. They say they've been working for this cooperation for 3 years!" "Wow!" Andi exclaimed "what's it like?" "It's..." Koby started but Dauntei cut in "it's wicked! There's always stuff that needs doing. You guys are new so you'll go into special training." Suddenly a massive speaker in the corner crackled out and a voice blared out "ALL CITIZENS! THERE WILL BE AN URGENT ASSEMBLY AFTER LUNCH BREAK IN THE COURT ROOM. EVERY ONE IS EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE...THANK YOU" "I wonder if it's about the power shortage" said Dauntei. Power shortage? Suddenly Andi remembered. The world was almost without power...how could he forget about that? ZZZAP! There was that strange sound again. He shook his head slightly. He looked at the others to see if they might have heard the sound but they hadn't seemed to have noticed anything. "How do you think it happened?" Wondered Mark "I mean all our coal and resources couldn't have just vanished! There's got to be an explanation out there some where" "no one has any idea how this has happened " said Dauntei "but we do know one thing, that the technology to pull off a stunt like that has to be way beyond any thing here on earth" "woah woah! Are you saying this is the work of aliens?" "Of course it is Mark!" Dauntei polished off the rest of his food and started helping himself to Koby's lunch "what do you think this massive base was set up for? to impress people?" They ate the rest of their meal in silence then washed up their trays and headed to the giant court room. They got into lines and then entered the court room. Andi's eyes almost fell out of his head. The place was massive! It could have easily been mistaken for a foot ball stadium if it wasn't for the court room chairs instead of cheap plastic seats. At the farthest end there was a screen built into the wall and like every thing else, it was gigantic . The screen was black apart for the letters U.L.D. The ceiling was a perfect dome of glass. The dark clouds from before had finally broken and had unleashed waves of violent rain. The court room did a very good job of keeping the sound out because you couldn't hear so much as a drop of water hitting the dome. He looked around for his friends and spotted Koby sitting not far off hands tightly covering his ears blocking out the roar of sound coming from the thousands of people filing in. Andi smiled and pushed his way over to him. Koby looked up as he approached and gave a small smile but didn't remove his hands. Just as Andi sat down the lights began to dim. He looked up and saw the dome was starting to turn black blocking out the light. A stage just below the screen lit up. A hush fell across the crowd. The assembly was about to begin.

I'm soo sorry! I haven't updated in faaar too long. I've been reading other peoples awesome books and man have I been blown away! I've also been reading a lot of zodiac books. I'm so hooked and I think is hilarious what people assume about each sign for example I'm a Capricorn and it is said that Capricorns are always so busy and committed to their latest project. Work.work.work. Get. The. Job. Done... It's obvious that trait didn't extent to this little goat fish 😂♑️😂♑️😂♑️😂
