Chapter 29- Don't Hide The Truth

[Julia's POV]

November 1! This day was special for me and Pete. It was our anniversary! But of course, he had work today and Melody had school so I was home alone.

I was sitting on my couch, in my pj's with my hair up in a loose bun and sipping a cup of coffee. I decided to call Pete since I was home alone with nothing to do. I dialed his number and I soon heard his voice.

"Hello?"he said.

"Pete!"I said happily.

"Julia! How's my baby this morning?"He asked.

"She's doing good and can't wait for tonight!"I said.

"I can't wait either...a candlelight dinner on the beach, just you and me!"he said like he was here, whispering it in my ear.

I giggled. "I can't wait to see you when you come home!"I said.

"Me neither. But I got to go, baby. Um, I'll be home at 6:30. Be ready by then!"He told me.

I said okay and goodbye. I hung up and took a sip of my coffee. Soon, my phone rang. Anna was calling. I picked it with a smile.

"Hey! Morning!"I said.

"Hey! Happy Anniversary!"she told me.

"Thanks, but it's not really going well. Pete is at work and Melody is at school. I'm home alone."I said.

"I could come over! We could watch some Netflix. I'll bring some pizza and have a little house party!"She said. "Oh, and some pina coladas!"

I laughed as she told me what she was going to do happily.

"But what about Patrick?"I asked.

"Grocery shopping. He's about to leave when he gets out of the shower. He got up at 10:30, earlier than all the times before!"she laughed.

"Well you know singers need a lot of rest!"

"So do drummers!"

"So do guitarists!"I chimed.

"Oh, whatever...."she paused. "Drums are better!"

"Oh please!"

I heard her laugh from the other end. "Ah, I'll be over soon, after Patrick gets out the shower so I can tell him I'm coming over. Then I'll get some pizza and the pina coladas for us!"

"Thanks, man."

"You're welcome! We'll see you later, girl!"she hung up and I smiled.

I wasn't going to be alone after all. Anna was going to give me company till Pete comes home. Melody, since it was me and Pete's anniversary, my brother was going to have her for the night, so it could just be me and Pete.

[Time Skip]

12:30 rolled around and I was dressed in jeans and a long sleeve Halsey shirt. Being pregnant, it still fit me. And as I went to Netflix on my dvd player, the doorbell rang. I slowly got up and walked towards the door.

"Yo! Anna Banana is here, ready for Netflix and chill!"I heard Anna scream from behind the door.

I stopped walking and began to cackle. I literally fell to my knees, dying of laughter. I guess she did that just to cheer me up.

"Open this freakin door, JULIA!"she screamed.

I was still on my knees laughing.

"I...I can't!"I said aloud.

I was dying of laughter. I could barely breathe.

"OPEN THE DOOR! ITS COLD!"Anna screamed.
