I stood in front of the mirror, wearing the dress with my blonde hair in loose curls.
"Wait you need one last thing" Taylor said and searched her bag for mesomething. She pulled out a lipstick.
"Uh are you sure?" I asked
"Yeah it'll look great trust me"
She put it on for me and turned me back to the mirror. It was a deep red lipstick that suited me surprisingly well. Nerves erupted inside me. What if I don't fit in, what if something so terrible happens that that's how I'll be remembered for the rest of my high school life? Deep breaths me, deep breaths.

Once I'd calmed down I smiled at myself. I didn't look too bad.
"You're so modest" Taylor exclaimed sarcastically.
"You've barely even looked at yourself" she rolled her eyes, chuckling.

I breathed in deep.
"Ready?" I questioned.
She nodded, "ready"

We had arrived. I shook all negative thoughts out of my mind and started striding towards the door.
I knocked lightly.
"That's not how to do it honey" a girl with silky black hair and a sparkly dress informed me and rapped on the door with force. Still no answer.
"Well being polite is for losers I guess" and she walked into the house without turning back.
Damn I wish I had that kind of confidence...

Well I guess I'll just have to pretend to.
And I did.
I strutted in there trying not to wobble on my heels with Taylor close behind. I was surprised I hadn't face planted yet to be honest.
Well let's see if we can keep this up. Unlikely, but possible I guess.

The loud music pulsed against my ears. I looked around and saw grinding bodies spread across the room. Nothing too unusual for a highschool party I suppose. People were taking shots and had red cups in their hands. How to people manage to pay for this stuff I was almost broke and I had just gotten my allowance last week.
Yeah I wasn't much of a money saver.

Massive hiatus sorry guys. This is a filler chapter. It's again extremely short but I thought I'd upload this quickly while I worked on the next chapter.
