The Mystery of the Hope Diamond

Chapter 4: Hospital.

Cadence coughed fiercely. She picked up her friends' arms and put them around her shoulders. Or, she tried.

She looked up at the sky and yelled, "Someone help me! Can't people see that I need help?"

Suddenly, she felt a two arms helping her by pulling weight with Maya and Noah. She looked side to side weakly to see two jocks helping her. Cadence was able to make it down to the bottom of the stairs.

She collapsed to the ground. "Thank... you..." she croaked as all went black.

Cadence woke up in a hospital bed. An IV was in her arm and bandages all over her. She looked to her left and saw Maya in a hospital bed, sleeping. Cadence smiled.

"Hey Maya... I'm glad you're okay...." she said, voice hoarse. Cadence looked to her right and saw Noah awake, looking at her.

"Noah... you're okay..." Cadence smiled wider. "It took a lot to help you... I risked my life just for your glasses so you could see."

"T-thanks, Cade," Noah said with a strong voice. "M-Maya is in a coma... I d-don't know if she'll w-wake up again..."

Cadence gasped. "Oh, no. This sucks. We have to hope she's going to wake."

"Yes, Cadence..." Noah said. "What happened while I was. . . ."

"Well, there was a huge explosion and I got you out of the way, and after that, Maya fell to the ground of blood loss, and two jocks helped me.... get you two to safety..." Cadence said, tears forming. "I am so proud of them... because you guys are the best thing that had ever happened to me..."

"And to you, too," Noah replied, smiling. "I-I-"

Noah was interrupted by a sudden bottle breaking the glass. Noah covered his eyes, and Cadence looked away. Noah got up out of the bed and walked over to the bottle.

"Oh my god..." Noah said. "C-Cadence..."

Noah started to cry. He wiped his eyes and gave the bottle to Cadence. Cadence looked inside of it and saw a note.

If you're wondering what is wrong with the Hope Diamond and its disappearance... don't go after it.... or you will die.
