"What the hell are you doing in my office?" I scoffed, jumping up from me seat. I'm guessing he was Donovan.

He's hair was short and scruffy and his eyes looked blue. At least from my angle. He was my skin color, a light caramel and his sly smile was the only thing keeping me from punching him in the jaw.

"According to Tristan, we are sharing" he said cooly. I creased my elbows and my mouth went ajar. Oh hell no!

"No no no. You need to get out. I work alone" I pushed him to the door but before I could shove him out, he put his hands on both sides of the doorway and stopped me. "Woah. Why so grouchy?".

I stopped pushing him and stared him down. "Checking me out?".

I snapped back into the conversation. "As if". I walked back to my desk and causally sat down trying to hold back in my frustration.

"So tell me- I'm sorry. Your name?" He cooed. He sat down in the seat opposite from me and leaned back.

"Katherine Hyde. But you can call me Miss Hyde" I replied bluntly. "Ok- Miss Hyde. Why were you trying to look for my records? Is that any of your business?" He said more firm then cool.

"I'm sorry but I have a lot of work to do and this is why I go solo. I am going to Tristan as soon as possible and finding a way to get you out because I can't" I said, dialing Macy. "I'll just leave"

"Please"

He left, chuckling to himself. I watched as he disappeared into the hallway. I let out a loud breath.

It was hard keeping my composure around such a sensual character.

"S.R.A Macy speaking"

"Your not going to believe what just happened"

"Why what happened?"

"Donovan Highly was in my office just now and I swear he turns me on"

I hate to admit it, but he was unnaturally attractive.

"Ohh! Does Kathy have a crush?"

I rolled me eyes. Hell no!

"You wish. I just think he's attractive. Plus my standards are way more higher then that"

"Oh Kathy please. You need to lower your standards because there are barely any guys out there who are going for such high things to get one girl. I mean why, when they could get a much easier one"

"Because unlike those easier ones I am a good girl and good girls deserve good guys and I doubt Donovan is one of them. According to this website here, he has broken a few laws, hacked the government security system and even murdered a few" I said, scrolling down the list.

"Why are you stalking him?"

She broke out laughing and my face flushed. I was not stalking him. I put the tip of my finger to hook my lip. Was I?

"I don't know. I guess I'm just paranoid that he might be better then me"

I looked out into the hallway and saw Tristan and Donovan making there way back into MY office. "I got to go. See you at lunch". I slammed my phone down and closed Firefox. I crossed my legs and folded my arms, ready for their arrival.

"Miss Hyde"

I nodded to Tristan and glimpsed back at Donovan who smiled slyly at me. "I understand there is a problem?"

"Yes. Why does-" I looked him up and down with my eyes. "-Have to share an office with me when there are plenty of other free offices he could use?"

"Correction, there isn't a lot of offices. We've been getting a lot more agents and space is running low. But, I do have a construction team building more and as soon as there done, Mr. Donovan will no longer accompany you here" he explained. I creased my eye brows and shook my head slowly.

"Why me though?"

"Because, Katherine, you are one of our best spy's here. You can show him around, explained what's expected, even teach him a few skills. Your perfect for the job"

"I thought he was very good?"

Tristan got silent and then flashed a fake smile. "Miss Hyde, get back to work and be useful to Mr.Donovan. I need those files on my desk by the end of the day".

He walked out before I could reply. I clenched my jaw and shot back at Donovan. "You listen to me-" he cut me off, "No you listen to me. I think we could both agree that if we stay out of each others business, we won't have any problems. So you stay out of my business, including my past and records, and I'll stay out of yours; whatever that is"

My mouth opened slightly and I gawked at him. What a bitch.

____________

"Why are you stressing so much? Not like he's ugly. I would be siked to work with an attractive guy. Plus your single so, what's the problem?"

I was having lunch with Macy as we discussed some files. Somehow, my situation with Donovan came into play.

"The problem is, I'm a soloist. He's only going to hold me ba-"

She cut me off

"Not if you let him". I leaned back in my chair and took a sip of my coffee. "Still. I don't think it's a good idea for him to stay. He doesn't have the best character. He's rude too"

She chuckled

"So are you. Hey, stop being so quick to judge. Maybe he's a nice guy. You be nice, try to make friends, and you should be fine until he gets his own office"

I nodded. Maybe that could work as long as he stays out my business. But what can I say? I was in his business too.

"Ok so what did you come up with?"

"Well there is a bank downtown that is a suspect of copying money and giving it away to drug dealers or people like that. Tristan wants you to see who the people are and get more information on them and who they are selling it to. Then let the level elevens do there thing".

It kind of sucked being a level ten. All I do is go undercover and gather information on crimes and suspects. Oh well. It's paying my bills.

"Easy. All I have to do is come up with a whole drug dealer bit, see how the process goes, ask a few questions, infer my answers, and I should be good" I planned. I'm used to all this stuff so I plan out my agenda and get right to it.

"Alright so you and-" she looked on her laptop and her eyes bulged. "Me and who?"

"Donovan..."

"What?! Tristan already has him on recruits? This is bull shit!" I shouted. "Calm down Katherine. Remember what I said, make friends"

I took a large gulp of coffee and grit my teeth. Thinking about him made my skin crawl. Now I have to work with him? I hate Tristan for teaming me up. Oh well. Once he sees how this slips up, then he'll see what a mistake he made.
