New kid

SKYLAR'S POV

He slammed me into the locker

More people were starting to crowd around us

As he walked closer and closer I covered my face with my hands, preparing for what would come next.

He stopped in front of me

He grabbed me and pulled me back, then once again slamming me into the locker

I still had my face covered by my hands. He grabbed my wrists and yanked them away so my face was unprotected before raising his hand and connecting it with my left cheek

He shoved me onto the ground. "Whore" he spat before walking away

I watched as everyone else walked by, not bothering to help me.

I picked myself up off the ground.

I don't cry anymore since this is a daily routine for me..

I brushed my fingers against the raw, pink skin on my cheek

I picked up my books off the floor before continuing with my school day..

I forgot to tell you..my name's Skylar Marie Jones, that's my full name.

I don't talk much and I get bullied at school as you can tell..

Anyways

I walked into my first period and sat next to my best friend, well actually my ONLY friend.

Her name's Maddie. She talks a lot and is really nice, but if you get on her bad side she'll kick your ass.

"Hey Maddie" I mumbled, my hair covering the left side of my face

She looked at me curiously, then reached over and brushed the hair out of my face.

She sighed. "Not again Sky" she said

"This happens everyday by that stupid Derek kid and his girlfriend, you need to stop this" she said

"What am I supposed to do.." I mumbled

"Student counselor?" She suggested

"Yeah..right" I said sarcastically

She sighed and turned towards the front of the room where the teacher was.

The bell rang and signaled class starting.

I heard the door open, but I didn't bother to look up.

"Ahh, here he is. Class welcome our new student Luke" He said

I finally looked up to see a cute boy with short light brown hair

He Looked at me and flashed me a smile

I rolled my eyes and looked down at my homework

"Luke, you can go take a seat behind Ms. Jones" the teacher said

He nodded and walked towards the desk behind me.

He sat down and tapped my shoulder.

I turned around. "Hi, I'm Luke" he grinned

"I know. The teacher said your name twice" I laughed

"Oh yeah" he said and laughed also

After class he decided to walk right next to me, not with me, but next to me.

"So I never got your name?" He said

"Skylar" I said

He told me a few jokes on our way to second period and I was laughing right before..Derek shoved me

"Sluuut" he said, snickering then walking away

I bent down picked up the books I dropped

"What the hell? Why did he push you? Are you ok?" Luke peppered me with questions

"I'm fine.." I muttered

"I'm gonna go talk to him.." He said angrily

"Don't. It's none of your business.." I said before walking away, leaving him alone in the hallways
