SKYLAR'S POV

Well, it took half an hour but I finally made it to Maddie's.

I knocked on her door rapidly. "I'm comin', i'm comin'. Stop knocking so much." She said and opened the door.

"Skylar? What are you doing here?" She asked.

"My mom kicked me out" I said

"Again!?" She said surprised

"Yeah, but i'm not sure if she'll call me saying sorry this time.." I said

"What happened?!" She said

"I...don't really know, we just got in a stupid fight and she told me to leave" I said

She looked down at the sleeves of my grey hoodie. She raised and eyebrow at the red splotches on it. She grabbed my arm and lifted up my right sleeve a little and sighed. "I-.." She didn't finish, usually she gives me a long speech on 'How this is bad for my health' and 'How it'll become addictive' but no, she didn't say anything.

She put my sleeve down and let me come inside.

I put my bag on the couch and sat down. She sat down next to me.

"So who's the new boy following you everywhere?..." She asked

"Luke. I don't know, he keeps trying to get to know me." I said

"Oh, well he's cute" She said

"Yeah, but not my type" I said

"What exactly is your type?" She asked

I didn't say anything. "C'mon Sky, you gotta open up to people or else your never gonna..." She didn't finish

I sighed. "Yeah i know..." I said

"Just try and be friend's with him maybe" She said

"Alright, alright" I said, waving my hand. Suddenly the door opened. "Oh uh..Hi Skylar." Maddie's mom said.

Ms.Richards wasn't very..um..fond of me. "Hey Ms. Richard's" I mumbled. "Oh please, call me Allison" She said awkwardly.

"So uh Maddie what is Skylar doing here on a school night?" Allison said, using an excuse to probably kick me out of her house to.

"Were just hanging out" Maddie said, using her body to cover up my suitcase.

"Alright" Maddies mom said and walked into the kitchen

"Can I put these in your room?.." I asked

"Uh sure" She responded

I walked up her stairs and opened up her bedroom door. I set my suitcase on her bed and pulled my phone out of my pocket. Damn I really need a new phone.

I checked my text's and noticed one from Luke.

Luke: Listening to Jimi :)

Me: Lol, Worth the money?

Luke: Definitely ;)

Me: Lol..cool

Luke: What's up?

Me: Just at Maddie's house.

Luke: Hanging out?

Me: Uh I guess you can say that

Luke: Oh?

Me: Yeah..um i gtg. Cya tomorrow bye

Luke: Bye :)

Maddie walked into the room. "Who ya texting?" She asked, because generally I only use it to text her so.. "Luke" I said

"Ooh, trying to get to know him?" She asked

"I guess so, he's rich, likes Hendrix, and texts smiley faces a lot" I shrugged

"Wow it's like you've known him forever.." she said sarcastically, rolling her eyes

"Hey, i'm trying!" I laughed

"So how am i gonna stay here if your mom thinks i'm just 'hanging out'?" I asked

"You'll pretend to leave, run around the house to the backyard, climb in through my window, and hide until my mom fall's asleep..." She said, proud of her plan

"Sounds so easy!" I said sarcastically

"Wait!, but one really important question!!" I said excitedly

"Ok what is it?" She asked

".........Got any food, i'm hungry?" I said

She looked at me like i was mental. She rolled her eyes and I laughed

"But seriously.." I said with a straight face

"Oh c'mon you little weirdo." She said walking out of the room
