They talked for a few hours before heading home. Over the course of the next month they hung out more and more. Tyler really enjoyed catching up with Jack. He really enjoyed hanging around Jack. He didn't realize how much he had missed him. They had another date to hang out set up. Jack said it was going to be even better than the other times. Tyler wondered what it was going to be all week until Saturday once again came. He got ready and Jack picked him up.
It was later in the evening and Jack drove to a nice little restaurant on the edge of town. They got out and went inside. They were seated at a table and Tyler looked around.
"Looks nice and cozy, but why go out to a restaurant?"
"Because I wanted this to be more special."
"Why is that?"
"Because I have really enjoyed being with you again. Hanging out with you, talking to you. I really have missed you and, I wanted to tell you something."
"What is that..?" Tyler asked a bit nervously.
"I really like you, more than just our friendship. I was wondering if maybe you would, like to go out?"
Tyler looked at Jack in disbelief. He couldn't believe he was actually just asked that. He nodded.
"Y-yeah, I would."
Jack smiled. "Good, I was worried you would freak out on me."
"I would never do that." Tyler smiled back.
They both ordered their food and happily continued to talk. When the night came to an end Jack offered to let Tyler stay at his place for the night. Tyler agreed and they both went to Jack's place. They got out of the car and walked up to the house. They walked inside and Tyler looked around. It was a nice place, not very big but not terribly small. They turned on a movie, sitting on the couch. Tyler leaned against Jack with a smile. Jack looked down at him and smiled back.
Halfway through the movie Tyler fell asleep. Jack picked him up and carried him to his bedroom. He laid him down on the bed and pulled the blankets over him.
"Goodnight sleepyhead." Jack chuckled and walked to the living room. He turned the tv off and laid on the couch, falling asleep soon after.
