[Luke's POV:]
"What the hell just happened?" I muttered to myself.
"Luke!" James yelled as he ran to me. "Luke! Your princess girl just ran off! You got to go find her!"
"Which way did she go?" I asked.
"Toward the elevator!"
I quickly made my way through the crowd and exited the room, and went to the elevator.
"Any of you seen Jasmine?" I asked a few people that were hanging around outside the door.
"Who?" A guy dressed as a zombie asked.
"A girl that was dressed like Princess Jasmine." I said and he glared at me, as if I wasn't being obvious at all. "The gypsy looking girl from Aladdin." I said and he nodded his head.
"Yeah. When I got out of the elevator, there was a girl dressed as her, but she ran off before I could see her completely. By the way, I'm J-"
"I don't have time. Which way did she go?"
"Stairs." He said and pointed to the stairs.
I quickly ran to the staircase and ran down a few stairs, and noticed a silvery-white high heel amongst the fake leaves on the stairs. It was just like the shoes the girl was wearing.
"Why does this feel like Cinderella, and I'm the Prince who has so much trouble finding poor ole Ella?" I said to myself as I picked the shoe up.
"I'll take that. Thank you." The girl vampire said as she came up to me and took the show from my hand. "And you're looking for who?"
"Ella." I said. "Well, Cinderella. I mean.. Princess Jasmine." I said and she laughed.
"Nice choice of names. I personally like the first one." She said and walked to the elevator.
"Wait! Do you know how I can find her?" I asked.
She sighed and walked over to me, and placed the shoe in my hand.
"Figure it out on your own, Brooksy." She said and walked away, and got in the elevator.
"Damn it. This is real life. In real life, a shoe could fit more than one girl. I can't just find her by seeing who's foot fits in the shoe." I said and looked down at the shoe.
"Sup bro?" James said and approached me.
"I don't know what to do." I said and held the shoe out in front of me.
"You didn't tell me that you cross dress." James said, almost in shock.
"What? No! This isn't my shoe!" I said and he laughed.
"Then who's shoe is it?"
"The girl." I said and he glared at me.
"You have to be more specific." He said.
"Jasmine." I said and he nodded his head.
"You found her?" He asked.
"Not quite yet." I replied.
"Then why do you have her shoe?" He asked.
"She left it behind," I said. "James, how am I supposed to find her?" I asked.
"You know the saying 'If the shoe fits'?" James said.
"James, I know you're thinking that this is just like Cinderella, but that's a cartoon. In the cartoon the shoe could only fit one girl. This is real life. Do you have any idea how many girls wear a size 6 shoe?" I said.
"Not.. Very.. Many?" He said hesitantly.
"A lot of girls, James. A lot of girls. If I try the shoe on other girls, it may fit someone who isn't the girl." I said and sighed.
"Okay, here's what we do. We wait until tomorrow, we get people to come back here around noon.. Well, the girls. You tell them that whoever was Princess Jasmine lost her shoe and you have it. They try the shoe on, right?" James said and I sighed.
"I told you, there could be hundreds of girls that were here tonight that wear a size 6." I said.
"You didn't let me finish. You narrow it down to only the girls that the shoe does fit. The others go home or whatever. So what you do after that, you ask them some questions that you think only the real Jazzy can answer. Bam! You got your princess, and maybe the hot vampire girl will show up with like a best friend of hers, and I can talk to her." James said and I rolled my eyes.
"Enough about that girl vampire. I know you think she's hot, but- wait.. That idea is genius. Thanks." I said and patted his back.
