Adam's POV:
As I walked to the living room with my fingers interlocked with Emma's, I thought about what I had just done. I was still in shock at that point and I didn't think I'd have the courage to say it out loud. At least she'd said yes and seemed to be just as happy as I was. I struggled to hide my smile as we walked through the door to see everyone sat watching t.v. They all glanced up, took in our linked fingers and all started to smile at us.
"Finally!" Rebekah mouthed to Katilyn, not realising I'd seen. Emma, still with a huge grin on her face, said, "guys, me and Adam have something to tell you, although you can probably tell already." She gestured to our hands and looked at me, urging me to go on.
"Well, I asked Emma out... And she obviously said yes." I laughed at myself, trying to cover up the awkwardness. Everybody laughed with me, except for Andy, who almost looked like he was just acting happy to be polite. As everyone else started to ask us how it happened, he was on his phone and by the time Emma had finished explaining everything, he'd got up and went to his room.
"Adam, I'm just going to go out for a hot chocolate with Katilyn and Rebekah. I'll be back in about an hour."
"Why do you have to leave so soon? I have a new movie I was going to watch with you..." I stuck my bottom lip out and pretended to look sad. Emma laughed at me and said, "It's sort of a bit of a tradition..."
"You go out for a hot chocolate every time someone asks one of you out?"
"No, just when something big happens, something important. Nothing wrong with that is there?" She smiled at me and started to put her coat on.
"No, it's quite cute actually..." I wrapped my arms around her and held her there for a few seconds. Emma pulled herself out of the hug and said, "The sooner I go, the sooner I can get back and watch this movie of yours, right?"
"Right, see you soon then."
"Bye." Emma waved at me and went to join the other girls outside.
Emma's POV:
We arrived at a cute little coffee shop, which was really quiet and deserted inside, and chose a table in the corner.
Rebekah leaned on the table and asked me, "So then Emma. We want the full details of everything, from start to finish." She looked and sounded extremely serious, which strangely reminded me of an interrogator. I told them everything, from Adam pulling me into his room to when we walked into the living room. They both stayed quiet the entire time, which was weird, as they'd usually be butting in every few seconds, asking things and pointing stuff out.
"That's really cute! You both suit each other loads." Katilyn smiled at me.
"Of course, we both saw it coming. You've both been flirting outrageously since you met." Rebekah told me.
I rolled my eyes at her and tried to change the subject, "this has to be the worse timing though... We all have to go to back to college tomorrow so I can't see Adam for another week."
"You can't be that inseparable already! And I know it's awful but just think of all the things you can do when you come back." Katilyn said to me.
Rebekah smiled at me suspiciously, "Yeah, you've got the whole of the summer holidays. A whole seven weeks to do what ever you two like. You never know what might happen..."
"Oh god Rebekah. You're so dirty minded..."
"Well, you had to be just as bad to understand." She protested, holding her hands back by head.
"What are guys talking about?" Katilyn asked us, looking extremely confused.
"Nothing..." Me and Rebekah said at the same time.
Once we'd finished our coffees, or hot chocolate in my case, we decided to go back to the guys' flat before it got too late.
Adam's POV:
"We're back!" I looked up from my seat and saw Emma walking through the door, closely followed by Rebekah and Katilyn. Emma came and sat next to me, "Right Adam," she said to me, "you've got two choices."
"Okay..."
"You can either pay for train tickets back to Leeds, because we're all broke, or you can drive us down in the van."
"Well considering I'm also quite broke, and I quite fancy a road trip, I'll see if anyone wants to drive us down."
"Sounds cool," Emma said, smiling, "I'll go and get my stuff ready then."
"And I'll try and persuade someone to drive us."
I came out of Ryan's room and Joel's room successful, but neither of them really wanted to drive so I went into Andy's room next.
"Hey Andy."
He didn't look up from his phone as he muttered a hi back.
"Do you want to come and take the girls back to Leeds? Everyone else is going."
"Erm... No thanks..."
"How come?"
"I think Anna's coming around tonight."
"Oh... That's okay. I'll see you when we get back."
I walked out of his room and found Emma waiting by the door.
"Andy's not coming." I told her.
"Oh well, he doesn't know what he's missing out on. A three hour journey in a van is something you just cannot miss." Emma said to me, emphasising the sarcasm.
"Yeah, we're going to have the best time! I said, ignoring her sarcasm and I pulled her closer to me as we got into the van. Because Andy wasn't coming and he was the usual driver, Joel had to take over. Katilyn sat in the front seat next to him and from what I'd heard in the girl's conversations, she was going to do some serious flirting. Joel hadn't had a girlfriend in a while, and really needed a girl in his life. Ryan and Rebekah sat in their normal space but, this time, they seemed to be sat a lot closer to each other. Maybe it was just the fact that they wouldn't see each other for a few day, but I knew exactly how they felt. I sat next to Emma and put my arm around her shoulder. She leaned into me and we sat like that for most of the journey in silence, enjoying each others company.
"Rebekah, we've at your house!" Joel shouted back. Katilyn must have told him where Rebekah lived because I don't remember anyone telling us before.
"I'll text you later." Emma sat up and smiled at Rebekah knowingly. She nodded and smiled back in exactly the same way. "Are you both telepathic or something?" Ryan asked them.
"No we're just magic..." Emma waved her arms about like she was holding a wand.
Ryan shook his head at them both before getting out of the van and helping Rebekah jump out. I caught a glimpse of Ryan reaching for Rebekah before I closed the van door.
"Its freezing, isn't it?" I asked Emma, hoping to start a conversation.
"Yeah, it is to say it's meant to be July..."
"What's taking them so long?"
I hope Ryan's remembered he's got to come back to the van. What if he's gone into Rebekah's flat..?"
"That would be awkward. We'd all be sat here waiting for someone who has no intention of coming back."
Emma laughed at me as Ryan finally opened the van door. He looked really happy about something and had a huge grin on his face. He sat down and said, "You'll never guess what just happened guys..."
A/N Hi everyone! Sorry if this is a really bad chapter, It felt really awkward in places but hopefully you like it. Next chapter will be loads better, I promise. By the way, in case you're wondering, Anna is Andy's girlfriend and doesn't represent anyone at all, I just thought the name sounded nice with Andy's...
My band of the week is My Forever (made up of Seb, Dave, Ben and Twiggy). They're just starting off and are amazing! They're from Thirsk, North Yorkshire and are really really nice guys. They've got a tour in August and the tickets are only £6 so why not go along and see them.
I do way too much promo for these bands/singers and they don't even see it because they (hopefully!) don't read fanfics... Oh well, see you later. Emma x
