"This is no time to be running around in the open, Bella. Our stuff's right here. From there, we need to pack up, and leave. The edge of the city's about 20 miles down. We need to get out as soon as we can."
"May I ask why?" She huffs.
"There's people following us. Have you not seen it? We're being hunted..."
She stays quiet, and I turn the corner into our little encampment. I begin grabbing my bag, sleeping bag, and a small rubber lizard that I tucked into my pocket.
"C'mon. We have to leave."
