"WE ARE IN LONDON, WOO!" I shouted into the lens of my GoPro. "And I am here with my wonderful grandparents who agreed to take me here," I lifted my hand a little higher so that you could see the people walking out from the sliding doors behind me, "Oma, Opa, say hi!"
My grandma looked up at my small camera, confused, and laughed. "Hallooo!" she said, and I chuckled at the sound of her German accent while my grandpa ranted of how we had to make it to our hotel so he could sleep.
The whole trip was simple; my grandparents flew me out to Germany so that I could go visit them and then two days later we were to fly out to London. I didn't really understand why they wanted to do things that way, but I can't argue with the people who are buying my ticket.
"Yayyy! Okay, so we are headed off to the hotel now since... well we all really, really want sleep. So I'm just going to officially start vlogging later when we get there or tomorrow, depending on whether or not I crash on my bed when we make it to the hotel. Aaaand... yeah. I love you guys and um, I'm just gonna let Winnie from the future take over now. Bye!"
I put my hand up to the lens and and waited about two seconds before I hit the button to stop recording.
"Okay," I turned to face my grandma, "Oma, are we taking the shuttle or not?"

Throughout the day I kept making short videos and tweeting/snapchatting them out to my fans. Soon enough #WinnieReached50K had reached number nine on the most trending things on twitter and I was actually happy about that. I mean it wasn't first but it was at least something.
When we got to the hotel we all had went up to the third floor and went our separate ways; my Oma and Opa went to their room which was about ten rooms down from mine, and I made a beeline for my room. I immediately threw both my luggage next to the window and let myself fall backwards onto my bed. I debated whether or not to vlog, but since it was only one o'clock in the afternoon I decided what the heck. Then pulled out my phone and decided instead of using my GoPro I was going to use my phone camera to film the time so that I could also post the clip on twitter.
"Okay so I am at the hotel right now and... I feel like I should be sleeping but I can't," I laughed lazily into my phone, "so I think that I'm just gonna take a shower and then try to take a nap. And then later, my grandma and grandpa are gonna head out to Nandos for the first time! So yeah, I just wanted to say real quickly that I love all of you and thank you for helping me reach my goal! Love you KayBears!"
I tweeted the video out and then basically slept the entire day until my grandparents came and woke me up. I almost wished I hadn't given them one of my room keys, because if it were up to me I would have slept waaay longer.
When I checked my twitter again for like the the 100th time that day, I saw one particular tweet that made me laugh:
@CaitlynFtBen : when are you going to make a video with the sidemen? #winniehas50k 😏😂❤️
I laughed and simply responded, "I wish," before heading out the door.
After spending a long time driving around, we spent a while walking around the mall looking at stuff. By the time we finally decided to eat, my grandma had basically put almost every venue we went to out of stock and I was getting over excited that my hashtag was still trending. What made me even happier was that people had started tweeting my twitter out to the SideMen!
Every few seconds I had started to get notifications with people mentioning me to the guys:
@sharnabrooks100: when are @WinnieMouse144 and @miniminter7 going to make a video together? #WinnieHas50K 👀💖
@calzodee: @miniminter7 @Behzinga @Vikkstar123 @wroetoshaw @Tobjizzle @ZerkaaHD @KSIOlajidebt need to make a vid with @WinnieMouse144 now 😈👊
@acb_owner: is't winnie in london right now? #winniehas50k 😏
@mollie_0440: 😱 @miniminter7 @Behzinga @Tobjizzle @Vikkstar123 @ZerkaaHD @wroetoshaw @KSIOlajidebt YOU GUYS SHOULD COLLAB WITH HER WHILE SHE IS IN LONDON👏
Tweets like that kept coming more and more, and I was hoping that eventually the guys would notice. I mean just imagine it; being able to sit there and ACTUALLY record a video with one of the SideMen... I would just be a dream come true! I tried to show my grandma the tweets, but then she started lecturing me in German about how I spend too much time on the internet.
When we finally got to Nandos my heart completely revved with excitement! I had always wanted to eat there and a lot of people were recommending this place to me. I let my grandpa go and order for us since he insisted on doing it anyways, so I just went and sat down. The line there was completely longer than I would have thought so I just spent the entire time telling my Oma about how things were at college and how I was able to manage my time talking classes and making YouTube videos. It was kind weird trying to explain everything since my grandma's English is kind of funny. But soon enough our food was ordered and we were finally able to eat. But before doing anything, I immediately took out my phone; it was the perfect vlogging oportunity.
"Hey guys, I. AM. FINALLY. AT. NANDOS! WOOO," I laughed and turned the camera around to my food. "Oh my god, just look at that food! LOOK AT IT! It look so goooooood--"
I smiled and was about to turn the camera when all of a sudden these two guys walked up to the Nandos line and they looked VERY familiar.
"Was ist es?" My grandma asked, turning around to see what I was staring at.
"Gar nichts," I said squinted at the guys, "it's nothing."
Putting my phone back in my pocket, I told my grandparents that I was going to make a quick trip to the bathroom--which of course was a complete lie. I walked over to the bathroom area and tried to get a better look at the boys that walked in. Now I know what you are thinking: "Wow, stalker much?" But that wasn't the case. The only reason that I was trying to see who the guys were was because I could have sworn they looked like Simon and Vikk from the SideMen! So, you can now see what my struggle was.
I stood by the bathroom for about two minutes trying to see their faces, but it was kind of hard seeing as there were a bunch of people there. I tried everything; walking past them several times, pretending to be in line, standing on my tiptoes and looking past everyone in the crowd--BUT NOTHING WORKED! So it was at that point that I decided to take desperate measures... and yell out their names.
I stood at the end of the room near a table and kneeled down so I couldn't really be noticed. There were people pretty much staring at me probably thinking that I was some kind of lunatic, but I didn't care. I waited until the guys were turned around and then proceeded to yell, "VIKK, SIMON!"
I ducked down again under the table and prayed that they didn't see me. But then when I tried to look up and see if the guys had turned around, I was greeted by a face right in front of mine.
"Um... Did I hear you call my name?"
