Chapter 4

Kellen's pov ~

When Jenni found me she was crying. In my mind I was thinking what the hell did colton do to her? " Jenni are you ok?" I asked her. " colton....and....amber....are ...kissing..in the other..room"." She says in between cries. " IM GOING TO KILL THAT DICK!" I said really angrily. So I ran into the other room where I found amber and colton eating each others faces off which was soooo gross. When I ran in I pulled him off of amber and throw him to the ground and started punching him. I didn't know how much anger I had for him and I wouldn't let him get up. All I could hear was Jenni crying/screaming at me to stop but I couldn't. All of a sudden I was pulled off of colton by my bestfriend Kai and one of my coaches. I wanted to keep going at him but I know if I went longer Jenni would've hated me forever and my parents would kill me. " why did you do that!?!?! ?" Kai screamed at me. " He is one of you team mates, one of your best friends. He is your brother. We are all brothers." Kai told me. " I did it because he hurt Jenni . He's breaking her heart." I said back. Kai had me up against the wall while Jenni was seeing if colton was alright. God I love that girl but if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have hurt him. All I could think about is what she was saying to him and what he was saying back. I pushed Kai off of me and ran out of the house and ran into the woods behind Jenni's house. This is where Jenni, Kai, and I come when we need to think about stuff or talk to each other about it.
" WHY ME?!?" I yelled out. I was so mad at myself and mad at Jenni because she didn't see how I was. All I wanted was for her to like me and not colton. Why does she go for the player. I bet she's not even looking for me. We have a little place in the woods in the trees where we hang out. God she's going to hate me soooo much.

Jenni's pov~

Once kellen got off of colton I ran to see how colton was. I wasn't mad at kellen I was happy that he stood up for me just disappointed he did it here at my house in front of everybody. I look away from kellen and look at colton when I look back kellen was gone and Kai is on the floor. I automatically knew where he was going so I grabbed Kai and ran into the woods. " KELLEN!" Kai and I screamed but no answer. " I know what tree he's in." Kai said to me. I went to ask what tree but Kai picked me up and ran to the tree that has all of are names craved into it. This tree meant the world to us. It has this little box that when we first found it we had a box with us and dug a hole and wrote secrets that we would be opening this year around the end of 8th grade. We look up and there we saw fragile kellen in the tree thinking. Kai and I climb up the tree and sat right next to him. " so you did come to look for me." Kellen said in a claim voice. " yeah why wouldn't we look for you?" I said. " Because you were so hung up on if colton was ok than me." He said back to us." Well no duh we would want to see if colton was ok. Your the one who beat the shit out of him." Kai said. " I only did it because of her." Kellen said and looked at me. It was getting late so I told the boys we had to get back to my house. It was silent the whole way back to my house. I missed kellen's smile. I missed his laugh. There's something wrong with him and I'm going to find out what it is.
