(No one's POV)

Laughter. Joyous laughter. It played as the harmony to the Narnian tune the men were playing as the others danced around the fire happily with no dismay. Every woman with a man, they all held their proper place as they did the classic circle dance around the fire, leaving them on their toes and swirling out of place ever so often.

No, they weren't drunk, for the music was enough to make them delirious for a few nights longer. It was a catchy tune, one of which can send your heart racing and your feet running. You can't help but to feel at peace, but antsy. Almost as if you can't sit still. That was the case of the Pevensies.

All four of them sat not too far or too close from the dancing creatures, and each of them were slipping into the music. They were all on the edge of their seats, wanting to join in but they do not know of the Narnian dance as Crystalline does. She was dancing happily in the circle with a young faun that Peter was secretly jealous of.

Of course, he would never admit it. He did have some pride still stuck on him like a nasty leech, even after the incident earlier in training. It seemed to prevent him from getting off the seat and joining in the dance with Crystalline. The others had their own issues to deal with.

Susan, even with all her beauty, was too shy to go up to a young tree spirit and talk to him. They have been exchanging glances for the past few minutes, but neither of them mustered up the courage to dance with one another. It seemed only Crystalline had that.

"Doesn't she dance beautifully?" The siblings heard Lucy say as she watched Crystalline dance with a brilliant smile on her face. She changed from her light green dress to a beautiful white, flowing dress. It had sleeves that were slit vertically, making it seem as if the pieces of clothes were wings to her dress.

Her hair was in an intricate braided half-up do, courtesy of Anatre, which made her seem almost as if she were a princess dancing among her people. Everyone could hear her laugh occasionally, the one sound that seemed to keep the musicians playing and the dancers dancing.

"She does." Peter mumble under his breath as he eyed her with great interest. Every move she made was in such a slow fashion, almost as if time was slowing down. He could catch every twirl she made, every kick of the heel she did, every clap her hands formed. It was a genuine masterpiece in his eyes.

What didn't catch his eye was his sisters' devilish looks as they eyed him with a massive grin. "Why don't you ask her for a dance?" Susan told Peter. Shaken out of his trance, a deep blush rose on Peter's cheeks as he nervously scratched the back of his neck. "I don't know how to dance to this." Was his response.

"Then ask her to teach you." Lucy butted in. Edmund, who wasn't paying attention to this ordeal, stood up and went to a naiad and ask her for a dance. "See? Even Edmund has more guts than you do." Susan pressed Peter as she motioned to Edmund and the naiad entering the dancing circle.

"He's just a boy, it's easier for him. Go have fun. I'll stay here." Peter mustered up a stupid excuse before taking a gulp out of his goblet next to him. The sisters, who weren't at all pleased with their outcome, stood up and went to the dancing ring, leaving Peter alone.
