Shapeshifters Tale

Chapter 2

Nathan walked me to my house and kissed me goodbye. When he left I opened my door. My family sat In the living room.
I quickly went upstairs to my room and jumped on my bed looking at the ceiling and thought about my how reckless I was almost shifting during me and Nathan kiss and boy that guy could kiss and make me melt under a single gaze with is sky blue eyes and his smile.

When a knock interrupted my thoughts "Kat please come down stairs and, try not to take so long," my mom said with a sigh.
"I have to get a place of my own, " I said to myself  "I never seem to have a minute alone In this house" I groaned while I dragged myself out of bed and down the stairs 
"There you are, " my mom said impatiently "come have a seat" My sister and brother sat on the couch and my dad was in the kitchen. I sat in the big two seater leather chair and rapped myself up with a soft blue blanket that I always kept on the right arm rest. My mom phone started to ring,

 "hello?" she said in a soft voice "Oh yes we're all here come on in" She then hung up "Sophie get the door, " My mother asked. My sister took her sweet time to get up when Jake my brother quick as lighting got up and shoved Sophie a side. She fell back onto the sofa next to mom.Then Jake went to get the door mom shook her head with disapproval.

"what she wasn't moving fast enough,  " Jake said letting Nathan and his father come in, Wait what? "Nathan" wow, this guy had some pretty bad timing I thought. My mom got up to greet them. When Nathan took a seat next to me and put his arm around me pulling me close. He smelled like the ocean I leaned my head on his shoulder.

"so yall are together?" Sophie asked
"yes we are" Nathan answer for me
"you know, dad won't be happy about that." She added,
"how about you stay out of our business" I snapped back "It doesn't concern you."
"leave them alone Witch" Jack jumped in "They can do whatever they want they don't need your approval"
"how dare you" Sophie protested
"oh please, that was sugar coded what I meant to say was--" Mom cut Jack off."Behave you two or next time I will get a belt to do the job" Mom threatened
"now get in the kitchen and help your father" Jake made his way to the kitchen with the rest of us wasn't not far behind. I said my goodbyes to Nathen and went into the kitchen dad was sitting down with a book in one hand and a timer in the other

"Dad what are you making?" I asked
"honestly I don't know, " he said laughing
"you can't cook dad how about I cook and you go and show off to your boss" I took the book and timer out of his hand
"are you sure?" he asked me.
"Yes, now go" I pushed him out of the kitchen through the double doors to the dinning room then put my siblings to work.
