"Rae?" Billy asked interrupting my thinking.

"Yeah?"

He kissed me, in the rain, that's some Notebook shit right there.

We held hands, and walked back through the gates of Regis.

Rae's POV

*May 92* (end of their junior year)

(Lol lets just fast forward cause I have to end this book soon ;))

We have one more week of school left until we're done. And we'll finally be seniors.

I saw Joey walking to my dorm, I waved but he just looked straight ahead.

It's been almost half a year and he's still mad, Jesus Christ dude get over it, you're 17 not 7.

I walked into my room and got a text from Camilla, telling me to go to the boys dorm.

I went over to the boys hall and saw her standing at the front of the hall.

"What's wrong?"

"My boyfriend dumped me." She said not making eye contact.

"Why?"

"He didn't say, but I swear if he dumped me for another hoe I'ma knock the hoe out of her."

"Calm down Camilla, there's way more hotter boys at this school."

She shrugged her shoulders, "Yeah, so how's your man?"

"He's good, but I haven't told him the news yet."

"What news?" She asked.

"For the summer, I'm going back home."

"Everybody is."

"Going back home to MY hometown, I won't be here."

Her jaw dropped.

"So next week is the last time you're gonna see him, for 3 months?"

I nodded.

"And I feel terrible cause knowing how he used to be, he might just forget about me and cheat."

She rolled her eyes, "No he won't, he don't act like that anymore, I used to date him, he's not like he used to be."

"I hope." I said, walking outside to the quad.

I saw Billy talking to Snuffy and Hank.

"Hey Billy, can I talk to you for a moment?" He nodded.

"What's up?"

"So Uhm, school ends next week, and, Uhm."

"What?" He asked again.

"I'm going back to my hometown, I won't be in this state."

He didn't say anything.

"And I tried to talk my family back home out of it but they weren't having it."

He just nodded.

"It's cool, it's cool."

"You don't sound too good." I said, cringing.

He didn't say anything.

"Well, I have to get back to my dorm, bye." I kissed his cheek.

Still nothing.

I ran off, not wanting to see him.

Billy's POV

Oh my fucking God.

I can't believe it.

I don't wanna be a dick and just tell her to not go home, but then again I don't want her to leave.

I slowly walk back to my dorm, not even acknowledging Snuffy or Hank.

I walk back to my dorm and just sit there, on my bed, not even thinking about anything.

I text my mom. "Do I have to come home?"

"Yes Billy 😠." She texted back.

I rolled my eyes, "Can I go to another state, with someone."

"What's her name?"

Why does she automatically assume it's a girl, I know that me and Rae have been dating for 10 months but still.

"Raelynn Waters."

She texted back, "Is she pretty? 😊"

"MOOOOOOMMMMM."

"Why do you wanna go stay with her?"

I don't wanna poor out my feelings to my mom over text, but I'm gonna.

"I've been dating her since August and she's honestly so amazing, and she's going home with her family for 3 months, and I won't even get to see her, and I just really wanna hang with her, please please please please please please please please please please please please please."

"ALRIGHT BILLY YOU CAN JUST STOP TEXTING ME."

I was sooooo excited.

I ran over to the girls hall and barged in Rae's door.

"Rae guess what!? It's fantastic news!"

"What?" She said kinda, sadly.

"I get to stay with you over the summer, I can go with you."

She smiled really big, "Oh my god that's great!" She said hugging me.

"Yeah I know right."

"Where do you live?"

We're in California right now.

"I'm from Florida."

"Oh my god." I said.

"I know it's far away."

"Why did you come to Regis since you live so far away?"

"Only school left that would take me." She answered.

"Oh." I answered.
