As Ariana and I were leaving the airport, we exchanged a look that said, "Are you ready?" Frankly, I had the biggest knot in my stomach. I was so nervous, but I tried to hide it for Ari's sake. So, I put a fake smile on face and got in the cab with her.

I could see the excitement in Ariana's eyes. College had been something she had looked forward to since she found out we were going together. I was stoked too, but there was no way I would be able to keep my feelings for Ari.

As the cab pulled into the university parking lot, Ari and I both were a nervous wreck. I was nervous about starting college in general, but mostly about the fact that I now had to be roommates with the girl I loved.

"Ari, you ok? You look like a nervous wreck. What's bugging you?" I asked.

"Well, I always knew college would make its way around, I just never thought it would be this soon. Plus I'm really nervous about starting classes, living in dorms, you know that sort of thing. It does help a lot that you're my roommate," she responded with a shy smile. I blushed a little, keeping my head down trying to hide it.

Her nervousness made sense, but she was great at school, so she would be fine.

"You know, college might seem all big and scary, but once we are here for a while, I think you'll love it. I mean, how cool is this campus?" I said, lifting my head to comfort her with a warm smile. Now it was Ari who was blushing. I smirked and grabbed her hand, reassuring her that it would be okay. She looked up at me and snuggled into my shoulder. I was smiling so big at that point I was pretty sure people on the other side of campus could see my face. Ari had that effect on people.
