"Frankie just texted me." I stitched my eyebrows together.

"... And?" I asked closing the door behind us. Meghan had left the keys on one of the desks and left.

"And he hasn't talked to me since dad took him away," she stated in a "duh" tone. I motioned for her to continue, "I just don't understand why he would want to talk to me after what happened," she sighed as she plopped down onto one bed.

"What did he say?" I asked her, plopping on the bed next to her. She pulled out her phone and tossed it onto my chest. I smiled at her and unlocked her phone. She was like my sister, even though I had feelings for her. I opened up the "messaging" app and clicked on Frankie.

"Hey," I read aloud, but stopped abruptly, "Hey? That's all he said?" I sat up and stared at Ariana. She sat up with me, pushing her hair out of her face. She sighed loudly.

"Yeah," she concluded.

"Okay, why are you so stressed about this?" I asked her tossing her phone back.

"Seven years. It's been seven years, Chase. Seven years since I last saw or heard from him. I just don't understand why, after seven years, he just decides to randomly text me 'Hey'." I couldn't believe it had been seven years since Ariana talked to her brother, Frankie. I went through all the possible scenarios of why after so long he would text her and only one stuck out.

"Wait. Respond back to him," I commanded her as I shot up from the bed. She raised an eyebrow at me as she quickly stood up to match my height.

"And why should I?" she countered. I started to list off my reasons.

"What if something bad happened? What if he just wants to see how you're doing? What if he wants to know if you've been accepted to Preston? I could do this all day, Ariana," I took a step closer to her each time I asked her a new question. I had her cornered against a wall taking deep breaths, my hands were clenched into fists.

"Chase," I felt Ari's hands go on my chest, "just relax," she cooed into my ears. "I'll text him back," she whispered into my ear as she pushed me back, "just sit down," she forcefully shoved me onto the bed as she crawled over me to get her phone.

"I'm sorry. I'm emotional when it comes to family," I said as I took deep breaths to calm down. Family was a big deal for me.

"I know, it's fine. I know you better than anyone else," she responded smiling at me before staring at her phone screen. She sat there frozen forever. I even took a shower and came out to find her still lying down on her bed, staring at her phone. She looked up from her phone and let out a huge sigh, looked up and froze. I was standing there with a towel draped around my waist, my hair wet, rummaging through my suitcase for my sweatpants. It was a very awkward moment, but the look on her face made me wonder what she was thinking.

Chase walks out of the bathroom with a cloud of steam following. I see out of the corner of my eye that he only has a towel hanging dangerously low around his waist. I look up from my phone and my heart drops. His hair is still wet, so I can see the water droplets run down his spine. He turns around and his abs are seriously glistening. I count six all the way down to his v-line and my heart is beating out of my chest. I jolt my gaze elsewhere before I can blush, but it's too late. He sees me. The smirk on his face is so noticeable that I can tell he is dying of laughter from how red my face probably is. I turn onto my other side, facing the wall, trying to avoid him. Knowing Chase, that would not last long.

I shook my head, waking myself up from the weirdest daydream ever. Ari was facing the wall so I quickly slipped on some boxers and a pair of sweatpants and decided to scare her. I tiptoed over to her bed and jumped onto it, and yelled really loud right in her ear, "BOO!"

"Chase Davenport! You are still wet and now my bed is wet too! Thanks! I hate you so much!" she sarcastically screamed back. I faked a hurt look as she punched my chest. I laughed, quickly jumping up and pulling my shirt over my head.
