I sat in my hotel room overlooking the city of Seattle. I had grown to appreciate the city. The head of my label resided here, which explains why I'm not somewhere else, somewhere I should be.
Scrolling through my Instagram app became relentlessly tiring so I opened my twitter. I was a big fan of doing things spontaneously. Since it was technically my last day of freedom, I decided to have a random fan meet and greet.
Hey Guys! I'll be at the 15th Avenue Coffee and Tea Starbucks from 1-3. Stop by and say Hi!
My hotel was only a few minutes walk away from there. It was only 10:12, but I wanted to give people in the surrounding area time to actually see the message.
With over two hours to spare, I decided to go for a walk. Part of me was already craving a Java Chip Frappachino, but I decided to suppress my urge until at least 12.
Stuffing my room key into my back pocket, I headed out the hotel. As soon as the cold early October wind hit me I knew I had dressed appropriately. I sported a grey and gold Medusa themed sweater as my outer most layer of clothing with a pair of gold and white Jordan's to keep my feet warm.
Clicking my Spotify of shuffle, I was not disappointed with what came up. Asking Alexandria's "I Was Once Possibly, Maybe, Perhaps a Cowboy King" started blasting through my Power Beats by Dre.
I was not the expected performer. Seeing a tan skinned girl with brown kinky hair wearing Jordan's who listened to rock and forms of metal ? If my appearance and taste didn't throw them off, my choice of music to create would.
I believe that's why my fans admired me. I dressed in whatever appealed to me and didn't fit in just one label or group. I was sort of interchangeable. The park had a long and winding trail around it. Considering that the sun was out, I figured if I walked or slightly jogged I would not stay chilled for long.
Stuffing my phone into my pocket next to my key I started to slightly jog around the nature trail.I walk this road alone
No thanks to you
I walk this road a lone
No thanks to you.The fact that the bridge of the song was playing as I crossed a bridge on the nature trail, alone, was hilarious to me. I was definitely one for puns and corny jokes.
After about one lap around the beautiful trail I decided to leave. I didn't want to be sweaty and it was already 11:02. Considering the time it took to walk here and lap the trail, I'm surprised it isn't at least 11:15.
Whilst wandering my way out of the park, I saw a couple holding hands with Starbucks in their free hand. The male had a tall Latte from the looks of it, but the female had a Java Chip Frappachino.
"That does it." I huffed to air. Getting out my phone I searched for the closest route to the Starbucks on 15th avenue. It was about a 20 minute walk and it was only right that I get there early.
Shuffling my music, the song "Drag Me Down" came up. I'd previously saved a few One Direction songs to my Spotify account to learn more about their sound. It wasn't unbearable. In fact, Drag Me Down was my favorite that I've heard so far.
After a slight walk I finally reached the large building dedicated to tasty, overpriced coffee. A few people were already there. When I walked in, a group of girls in the front corner screeched, spilling their latte's all over the table. I waved before walking over to them and pulling a chair up.
"I can't believe it's you!" one of the girls spoke. She was noticeably shorter, even sitting down. She had short black hair and creamy pale skin. She hugged me wildly, only making me laugh.
