I recognized one of the figures as Harry. With that all alert rushed out of me.  The other figure was more in the darkness, making it hard to make out. I could only tell the gender of the silhouette  when it started to speak.

"I think she's prettier than the other girl, don't you think?" a thick Irish accent spoke.

"I actua-" Harry's eyes glanced behind his band mate and caught my presence.

"Sephora, how nice to see you again." He began. "Have you met Niall?"

I shook my head 'no' before walking over to them and greeting Niall for myself. He spoke his hello's laced with a his thick accent.

"You guys sharing a room?" He asked, breaking the short silence. "No, my room is here and his is across from mine." He nodded.

"So, what's good to do around here?" Niall again asked. I shrugged. "I'm not a Seattle native, but if you ask me, they have a great selection of coffee shops"

Niall nodded his head and gave a light smile as if he was genuinely concerned with the local entertainment I had mentioned.

"I'll best be seeing you around. I'll just let the two media love birds get to know each other." he said with a large, happy grin.  "Play nice Harry."  He waved as he made way to the elevator, leaving me to deal with an awkward young Styles.

"So.. Do you want to talk?" I thought about the fact I had absolutely nothing to do and nodded. "You can come in my room if you'd like. We could pop some popcorn and discuss things."

He poked out his bottom lip in thought and gave a nod of approval. "I suppose so." he stated before following me into my room.

It was a normally large hotel room composed of two main parts. One section was just the bed, a decent sized TV center and some windows with a balcony. The first section simply had two couches and a larger TV. A small kitchen center was also in this section. The second section consisted of one large bed, a smaller one that I used for storage, and another flat screen TV.

I flopped on the couch and turned the TV on but I kept it at a low volume so it would be easy to talk over  before looking over at Harry.

"Do you still want popcorn?" I asked.

He held up his hand and shook his head. "I"m fine, thank you. I'm actually saving my appetite. "

I nodded in understanding before flipping though the channels like I'd done every day for weeks.

"I was actually wondering.." he began. I turned slightly to pay him more attention.

"I was wondering if you'd like to accompany me?"

I opened my mouth to speak but he interrupted by adding onto his former statement.

"It's not for publicity, I swear. I just want to know more of who I'm dealing with. Not that I think you're a bad person, I would just like to know you more as a person. I"m sure we could be good friends within this and I'm sure both of our management teams would appreciate that level of cooperation."

I feel as though he enjoyed hearing himself talk. Not that I minded. He had a husky voice and the British accent he sported made it even better. Even so, I couldn't help but chuckle at how much he was explaining himself.

"If you don't want to it's fine."

"I'll go."

"You will?" A slight smile spread across his face.

"Yea, why not?" I asked as I nodded my head.

"Okay. It wont be anything too fancy, unless, that's what you want. I was thinking we could go somewhere simple like a McDonald's or something. Just a place to grab food and actually chat and such."

"I actually hate McDonald's." I stated. He gave out a sigh of relief. I could tell he was just trying to give a broad range of options, which was very considerate.

"How about we go to a coffee shop."

I wanted to scream "Starbucks" but I was trying to not seem overly excited or stereotypical.

"Well, you really love coffee." he remarked. I smiled. "Like the British love tea."

"So where's the nearest coffee shop again?"

"It's right down the road! We can walk there if you'd like. I don't mind. Anything for coffee!"

I could tell he wanted to laugh at my playfulness, but he was not sure how I would take it. This lead us into a small contest of who could hold in their laughter.

We both fell into a fit of laughter. He stopped before I did, as if he was noticing something.

"Is something wrong?" I asked. He shook his head, his curls bouncing just above his shoulders.

"I'll um, I'll pick you up at 6." he said as he rose from the couch. I nodded and followed him to the door to see him out.

"If you need anything, I'm just right across the hall here." He said with a cheeky smile, his large hands pointing towards his room door. I smiled and waved goodbye to him in a child like manor as the door slowly shut and automatically locking.

I spent some time reading There Will Come Soft Rains  by Ray Bradbury with some soft rainy mood music in the background. It has been one of my favorites stories and I have found myself traveling with it and re-reading it often.

The book often made me wonder what my life will be in like August 4th, 2026. That date was over 10 years away, but it can make you think about where we are and where society as a whole is going. The fact that it was written in 1950 but showed an accurate modern description of how things are and may possibly be. That  is what excites me about Bradbury's tale.

It was only 4:30. I had plenty of time left so I decided to roam the hotel. It was an idea that I had first sparked many nights ago but each time I found something new to wonder about.

This time, I decided to roam the top floor. It had fewer rooms because they all were so large. At the end of the hallway closest to the elevator was a large window. It was different form the windows you'd usually see. This one was much taller and broader, what was expected of the top most floor in such a hotel as this one.

When done exploring that floor, I decided to take the stairs for the rest of my adventure. I kept walking aimlessly up and down halls with no destination for a while. By the time I returned to my room it was nearly 4:30.

Groaning out of pure boredom I again left my room. This time I found myself in the hotel lobby demanding a cup of tea.

I looked at all the different types they offered. Many of them were simple flavors but some were of Chinese and French decent. Deciding against tea that I could not pronounce, I chose the simple raspberry flavor of tea.

Taking one of those cheap cups and filling it with water, I opened the packet and began dipping it around in the cup. After tasting it, I poured two packets of sugar in it before looking for a place to sit and relax.

Sitting at one of the tables they had placed periodically about the lobby, I began sipping my hot raspberry tea. After finishing my tea, I decided to go back up to my room and gather my things.

Once I reached my floor, I fumbled in my pocket for the key before sliding it over the automatic lock. The clock on the hotel dresser read 5:15. Having a bit of time. I went to the bathroom to comb over my hair and apply some lip tint.

I loved wearing lip stick, but it can be a hassle to maintain when constantly eating so I usually just apply lip tint. It still gives me the great colors I want but I don't have to worry about it rubbing off on a fork or a straw all the time.

As soon as I turned off the bathroom light a gentle knock was hear at my door. Gathering my key and other necessities, I opened the door and joined Harry on the other side.
