Chapter 2

***

BEEP BEEP! BEEP BEEP! BEEP BEEP! BEEP BEE-!

I groaned as I slammed on the snooze button on my alarm clock. Another dream like always. The same mansion. The same scene. And the same person. I just wished my life was normal. Of course that won't ever happen. My brown hair looked like a bus ran over it when I checked myself in the mirror. I kept reminding myself to not think about the same dream I had since last Halloween. I remembered it vividly like I was actually there.

FLASHBACK*

Something was shaking me in a fast motion that almost made me choke up my dinner. I opened my eyes enough to see another person yelling at me with some other person's name. A very familiar name though.

"Steph! Hey, Stephanie wake up!!"

I groaned to hear a stranger's voice echoing inside my head and outside as well. It was like my alarm clock going off at 5 o'clock in the morning. Like I always do, I slammed the snooze button with my weak arm on the stranger's chest.

"10....more...minutes..." I mumbled after falling asleep again. Until I was shaken again. But this time, another person was shaking me at a quicker motion than the other stranger. I was about to get nauseous so I finally had the strength to push the person shaking me away and kick them in the privates like my pops taught me how. Unfortunately, I tumbled down onto the soft carpet beneath the stranger's lap and I sat up.

I looked around vigorously to see what was happening until all my memories came back. I was walking towards the balcony....and then I saw a strange person...I looked up at his face and he had...he had. I was thinking back what happened until I remembered his eyes. He had blood red eyes. Blood red eyes that looked strangely familiar like the color of tainted blood. My eye must have been in shock because the strange person who was shaking me the first time was looking at me strangely.

"Hey Steph. Are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost or something." The stranger whispered softly enough for me to hear. I didn't notice that the moon was covered by the clouds when it lifted up to let me see the person who was talking to me in the dark room. There appeared a boy who had silky pale skin and silver hair with mismatched eyes. One on the right with the color crystal blue. And the left eye the color blood-red. He looked like a doll with the age of a middle schooler but his  voice was like the males at my school. He reached his right gloved hand towards my cheek but i flinched by the slight pressure of his fingertips.

"Don't worry Stephanie. Thomas won't hurt you." The voice led me to the man leaning on the edge of the balcony doorway. His features on his face were handsome against the moonlight and his hair was slightly flowing with the breeze. His eyes looked as if he was deep in thought of a past.I started to feel tired from listening to his soothing voice that made me tumble as I tried to stand up. Thankfully, the boy named Thomas caught my fall.

"Whoa Steph. I think you should lie down or something. You don't look so good," Thomas generously offered.

Steph? Stephanie? I started to get a migraine just by the name echoing in my head.

I stood up fine clinging onto my head to suppress the pain and let go of Thomas's hand. I started to act serious and ask some questions to find some answers.

"I have some questions to ask you people. First, who are you?" I tried my best to hide the pain from my voice and my face.

"Steph...You don't remember us? It's us. Your family! Steph!" The person named Thomas was eagerly trying to reach for the person named "Steph" inside of me but i had no memory of the person named Steph or Stephanie. I became irritated.
