My stomach growled once more as my eyes scavenged all the dishes kept on the dining table. The dining area was lavish. Not that I expected anything less.

"Your eyes will pop out if you keep looking like that," Trey said, being his usual cocky self.

"Well, food is my weakness, if that's what you're looking for," I said, squinting my eyes at him.

"How nice. I'm sitting next to a human sized pig cum elephant."

My mouth dropped open.

"That doesn't make sense," I said, amused.

Trey rolled his eyes. "It does for me."

"Then in that case you're a human sized buffoon who thinks so full of himself," I practically whisper-screamed at him.

"Neatly judged," Trey said, pouring soup into his bowl.

"I see you like the soup, Jared," Mr. Hamilton questioned Jared, who was sitting right in front of me.

I looked at Jared, who was gulping his soup down at 3 spoons per second.

I kicked him from underneath the table. That got his attention. He looked at us, confused.

Mr. Hamilton cleared his throat. "I see you liked the soup," he repeated.

Jared murmured something between carrots and hunger & continued sipping his soup.

I nudged him once more.

"It's delicious," he finally managed to say, with some of his soup falling on his shirt.

I rolled my eyes. "Graceful," I said to him, which caused Mrs. Hamilton to giggle, sitting right next to him. She earned an apologetic smile from him which she replied to with a pat on his back.

I tuned my attention back to my food when Lucas spoke.

"Where's Adrian?"

Next to me, Trey nearly choked on his soup.

"He's not feeling well," he managed to say.

"What happened?" Chang asked, not letting the conversation die down.

"That's none of your concern," Trey arrogantly replied.

"Could you be more rude?" I said, thinking out loud.

"Be my guest," Trey said, clearly making me want to punch him hard in the face.

I took a deep breath and turned my attention on finishing the plate.

The food was utterly delicious. I literally had to stop myself from licking the food of my plate itself.

"Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton, for this lovely dinner," Violet said, getting up and looking at all of us as a clear indication to get up and follow her.

"Please don't thank us. You're literally our future," said Mr. Hamilton, "its the least we could do."

I mentally laughed, We are LITERALLY your future.

I smiled at them and followed Violet to our room.

"Good night," she said and hopped onto her bed. "Switch of the lights- I'm really tired."
