The heavy price

After I narrated the whole incident to Jared I went over to the kitchen to help myself with some food.

"Aww come on Lucas, you know I hate pineapples!" I heard Chang whine.

"But it's healthy, and will help fight the cold you've been catching since we got here." Lucas said resolutely, spinning in his chair.

"Whatever man" Chang rolled his eyes, but then he spotted me.

"Hey Nicole! where were you? Jared was looking for you." Chang said placing his cereal bowl on the kitchen counter.

"I Just talked to him" I replied, sitting next to him.

"What are you having?" I asked Chang. It had multicolored circles in a bowl of milk. Disgusting.

"Fruit loops" Chang said grinning.

"Right now? it's almost time for dinner" I asked bewildered.

"I'll have that too" Chang shrugged.

I rolled my eyes. Boys.

"Well, I'm going to bed" Lucas said getting up, and stretching.

"Night Lucas" I said.

"Night Lucas" Chang repeated mocking me in his fake girl voice.

"I do not sound like that!" I punched Chang in his gut.

"Aww shit!" Chang groaned, spitting out some of his fruit loops on the counter.

Lucas roared in laughter, but walked briskly away before Chang could glare at him.

"Hey you guys!" The twins waltzed right in after Lucas left.

"Hey Tristan and Seth" I said smiling.

It was the first time I was talking to them after their little pea shooting incident.

"We were wondering whether you guys wanted to watch a movie?" One of the twins said, not sure whether it was Tristan or Seth.

"We usually watch horror movies with Trey, since mom won't allow us to watch them alone. But then he's in Adrian's room, and we really really want to watch the new release" The other twin said, shyly.

"Of course we'll watch it with you" I said nonchalantly, clasping my hands in front of me. Sideways I saw Chang gulp.

"Did you say horror?" Chang asked the twins, his face pale.

"Are you scared?" Asked the more confident of the two.

"No, no. Not at all" Chang said trying to keep his calm.

I knew Chang absolutely loathed horror movies. He always got so scared. I suppressed myself form laughing out loud.

"Awesome sauce!" Both the twins said together.

"We'll show you our room." They beckoned us.

First thirty minutes into the movie, Tristan was holding my right hand, Seth my left and Chang was hiding behind the sofa set in the twin's room.

"No,no...don't go in there" Seth said to the girl in the TV. I realized that he was the shy one.

"Is she out of her mind? she's going to die" Chang cried peeping from behind the sofa.

"Nooooooooo" Tristan screamed, as the girl in the movie slowly opened the front door.

"Come on guys" I rolled my eyes.

"She's the lead character. She won't dieeee" I chimed. The girl now opened her front door

"I can't see this, I cant see this" Chang shook his head and took his place behind the sofa.
