I woke up before my alarm clock; I had a dream, a weird dream. I had to draw it immediately.

This is what the drawing looked like: A forest, a very strange forest with purple and green and grey and pink trees, and a boy running through the woods looking for something. I don't know what it meant, but it gave me a great idea to continue the story.

I was startled by the alarm clock I forgot to turn off when I woke up, because I was so focused on my dream, such a weird dream...

I went to my closet to choose the outfit of the day: will it be the dark jeans with a normal shirt? Or will I go fancy and put on a dress? Or a skirt with a cute blouse? I felt ugly that they so jeans.

After eating cereal and quickly running upstairs to take my sketchbook, I finally went to school. When I arrived I was a little nervous because I had Enlgish the first period, and as I entered the classroom I saw James. I didn't know how to behave; should I wave hello or go to him and start a conversation? Or should I just go to my seat and pretend we never spoke?

But of course before making a decision he already waved, waving it is: a normal wave or a flirty wave? Smile or poker face? Oh my Dylan when did you become such a hypocrite?

I smiled and waved and then sat down.

Finally, lunch. I was starving. My mom made me a sandwich with cheese and another one with peanut butter and jelly. I went to sit down at my usual seat, alone next to the window.

I was jut about to eat my sandwich and suddenly someone sat down next to me: James. I was very surprised, usually he doesn't even eat in the cafeteria, and now he's sitting next to me.

"Bon appétit." He said to me with a silly smile, "Sorry I just came from French class".

"It's okay." I answered. Why did you say that Dylan? What it really necessary to answer? Oh god I'm being weird again.

"So, I have new ideas for the story..." I tried to start a conversation.

"Really? Tell me"

"Well, I was thinking about a way that the hero and Sky would meet, and..." I was in the middle of my sentence and suddenly his phone rang.

"I'm sorry; tell me about it after school." He said and left while answering the phone.

Alone again.

As promised he came to me after school.

"So you said you have new ideas about how the two should meet?", He asked while sitting down and taking my sketchbook.

"Well yes, I mean it's not really an idea, it's a suggestion..."

"Will you just tell me already?"

"Oh sorry, well, I don't want it to be cheesy like all the other stories, that he sees her looking out the window or something, I want it to be new and different."

While taking an apple out of his nag he said: "I agree, it's a new generation, women aren't fragile and 'petite' anymore". I smiled.

He took a bite from his apple and continued talking: "I know! Let's make her a badass! Make her do things that aren't allowed!"

"That's a great idea! Like for example going outside when the shadow goes away!"

"Yes, that's perfect!"

From all the excitement we were so close to each other I could hear his heartbeat. I couldn't stop looking at him, but we had to continue, so I looked away. We both had this shy smile on our faces while he took my computer and started to write:

"Every day, from 2 to 5, Jonathan went out and left Sky in the castle. She wasn't allowed to leave her room, but she did it anyway. Every time he left she went to a room in the castle to see what's there. Last time she found the kitchen, where she made herself an amazing chocolate cake."

"Wait", I stopped him.

"What's wrong?"

"This doesn't make sense, an 8 years old can't bake.

"Oops, I forgot." He laughed and continued typing.

"Years went by and Sky became 17. (Actually 18 but Jonathan didn't know that.) She still didn't understand why her dad said she was a year younger but she knew that he said it for the right reason. She noticed that every day he left the castle from 2 to 5, so one day she decided to explore the castle, and she did it every day. One room each day. Last time it was the kitchen, where she baked a delicious chocolate cake. This time, she found a door leading to the garden. It was the most beautiful garden she had ever seen, with lots of colourful flowers and trees."

"I know! Why don't we make Amadeus the gardener?" I asked.

"No that's predictable... I know!" He continued writing after taking another bite of his apple.

"While walking in the garden she suddenly heard a sound. "Who is here?" She asked. "I command you to show yourself!"

"You can't tell me what to do! You don't even know me!" A voice answered behind a tree.

"I want to get to know you,", she said. "I'm all alone in this castle...". She looked down. When she looked up again she saw the most amazing boy she had ever seen in het life: blue eyes, black hair, tall,...

"My name is Amadeus, I've never seen you here before."

"I live here with my uncle.", she answered while blushing.

"Well it's a big castle, my dad probably gave you and your uncle a room."

"I still don't know your name."

 "Sky.". She couldn't stop smiling.
