Chapter 7 Weird x2

“How’s your hand?”

“Better. I can play basketball at least.”

“As if that stopped you.” Hanna chuckled at me.

Hanna and I were laying in her bed listening to music, killing time before we meet up with Sage, Helena and Alice to go to the club. Mom was at work and I didn’t want to be alone, especially after I got that disturbing e-mail a few days ago, and then another one last night. The message I got yesterday was a picture of Hanna and I at the park at night, and we were kissing. Underneath the picture were the words, ‘I see you’. The more creepy part was that the picture was taken in front of us, which meant that whoever took the picture was close, very close and it scared me shitless to know that I didn’t even see who it was.

“Hey where’d you go?” Hanna’s voice pulls back to reality. I look at the blonde who is now hovering over me with concerned eyes and with a single hand on my cheek.

“Are you okay?” She asked me again.

“Yeah I’m fine, just thinking about my game tomorrow.” I partially tell the truth. My basketball game was on my mind but that wasn’t on the top of my list; It didn’t need to be because I never get nervous about games.

Hanna seemed to accept this answer because she smiled at me and laid her head back down on my chest.

“Are you nervous?” She asked me.

“I’m never nervous.” I tell her. “I’m always excited.”

“Are you gonna win the game for me?” I chuckled at her words.

“I can try.” I say while looking down at her.

“Win or loose it doesn’t matter, just don’t hurt yourself.” Hanna smiles when she sees my reaction.

“I’m not the one who hurt myself while playing basketball.” It was true; Hanna was watching Sage and I play one on one and decided that she wanted to steal the ball and try to make a shot. She did steal the ball, but when she went to make a shot it bounced off of the rim and smacked her in the chin. It took everything in me to be the good girlfriend and not laugh my ass off.

“That was one time and you promised to never speak of it again.” She pouted.

“Aw I’m sorry babe, but that was slightly amusing.” I smile. “I wish I had a camera.”

“Asshole.” She punched me in the shoulder; not hard but I still felt it.

“Chill out.” I smile while grabbing her hands and pining her to bed then laying on top of her. I closed my eyes when she began running her fingers through my choppy hair, her nails gently grazing my scalp. I shifted my head so that my chin was resting on her chest and I could look her in the eyes.

“I almost came out to my mom.” I say in a small pathetic voice. Hanna’s hands stopped moving and raised an eyebrow up at me.

“What do you mean almost?”

“Well I said ‘hey mom’ and then I froze.” I admitted. “I was going to but then it didn’t feel right, especially after everything that happened with Darren.”

Hanna thought for a while before I saw her nod her head in agreement.

“That’s understandable.” She began running her fingers through my hair again. “What made you want to tell her?”

“She said, ‘promise me that we won’t keep things from each other.’” Hanna nods her head.

“Do you feel bad for keeping this from her?”
