Bambi was your normal seventeen year old girl. She lived in Brisbane, Australia and went to school, had pany plans of going to college. But, most of all... She was head-over-heels in love with a boy named Michael. But, her parents didn't like that very much. Michael was your typical punk-rock boy. He dropped out of school to be in a band, he traveled the world (and not to mention had many girls around him), he was your band-boy. The guitarist, living in the fast life.
"Mom, you have no idea what you're talking about!"
You could probably hear Bambi yell all the way down her block, but she didn't seem to mind.
"But, darling I do. He is no good for you, he's always gone and probably with those," Bambi's mother paused, thinking of a less degrading word but said what she had heard in the magazines "those damn groupies." her mother spat.
"Ouch, Mrs. Kingston. I'm right here." Michael mumbled in an attempt to make himself noticed. But, it was no use. It was the mother-daughter fight that not even the father or grandmother could break up. Bambi's mother locked eyes with Michael and almost growled at him, "My daughter is not going to become like you, she's not going to be a high school drop-out. She's going to go to college, she's going to get a job. She's going to become something neither her father and I could become." As she spoke, she realized she was wrong, tears came to both Bambi and Michael's eyes. "Mrs. Kingston," Michael choked out at an attempt to speak to her. "I finished high school, and even went to college for a year. I'm well-educated. I have a job, and probably make more money than you could make in your whole life and I'm only eighteen... Almost nineteen. I love your daughter, she is almost a grown woman. She can make honorable decisions and know her morals. If she is with me, she is not going to change her decision to go to college. We have talked about it before, if she decides to go on tour with me she'll do online school. But honestly, this is your decision. But we all know once she turns eighteen in the next month, she's coming to me. There's nothing you can do about that." After Michael said that he wiped his eyes and pecked Bambi's lips before beginning to walk out of Bambi's room, "See ya, Bambz... Mrs. Kingston." and that's all he said as he waved them off and walked out of the room, through the hall and down the stairs out of the front door. Bambi began to cry and yell at her mother, but Bambi's mother had enough. She walked out of the room and into hers to think about what she had done. She knew she was wrong for judging him, and what he said was right. He didn't harm her or put her in danger, she knew her daughter would get hurt because of all the hate but also knew that he daughter was strong. So she did the last thing she thought she was ever going to do. She called Michael.
