Jody and his baby girl Saharria in the m/m

- Jody

"So what you do for a living?" I asked Peanuts husband. It was something about the dude that I really didn't like. Maybe it was his " Snobbish Attitude" or the way he kept looking at Yvette when she into the basement. We were down here playing pool and watching the game. He thought I was being friendly when actually this was my way of finding out who he really was.

"I'm a security guard at Jc Penny's," he said as he took a hot wing from off the tray. I straighten the balls inside the pool table and then I put my stick back in the corner. I grabbed a hot wing and beer as well. I sat down on the couch and grabbed the remote. I turned the channel to BET and "Juice" was on. My favorite movie, only because my favorite rapper was in it.

"So what's up with you and Peanut, how long y'all been together," I asked as I cracked open my beer.

"We dated off and on for two years. When she got pregnant I went off to the army, I did two years in service, got out and decided I wanted to go to school to be a police officer. So now I'm in college, working as a security guard. It's not a cop but it's pays well," he said as he wiped the sauce from his mouth.

I pulled out my phone and sent a few text messages. "So what made you want to meet me," he asked.

"Well for one thing, I don't know you, my daughter doesn't know you, and I'm not sending her off with peanut and you because I don't trust y'all, ain't nobody gone hurt my lil girl,"

"I have nieces and nephews man, I wouldn't hurt them, so why would I want to hurt Saharria," he said.

"That's different, your nieces and nephews ain't living with you every day, I'm pretty sure peanut gone want baby girl to spend the night a couple of days, and I know you gone be there, so I'm just being a responsible parent dog making sure my daughter isn't going to be put in danger,"

"I here yeah," he said as he focused back on the TV.
Peanut came downstairs with baby girl in tow. She had on her hat and coat. "Dada i wanna go with mommy," she said.

I gave peanut the side eye and smiled back at baby girl. "Okay princess, if your ready to come back home you know my number right?"

"Yes dada, 5 0 4 9 9 7 8 6 5 3 " she said.

"Alright princess you be good," I said as I kissed her forehead. She ran over to Yvette and gave her a kiss. "I love you mommy," she said.

"I love you too baby have fun," Yvette replied. I walked Peanut and her man upstairs and watched out the window as they drove off. I just hoped that Peanut would be responsible mother and take care of our daughter, cause I swear to God if something happens to baby girl I'll kill them both.
