Please Catch Me When I Fall

Chapter 2: Me

I forgot to tell you who i am, my name is Madilyn, Madi for short.

As I ran back to the house to ask my mom how i died I thought, what if I don't want to know how I died? What if it's too much for me to take? What if i can't handle it? Well, i'd have to find out because I'm already in the door. I walk up to my mom and just throw it out there.

"How did I die?"

My mom looks at me and simply replies back the most gruesome thing i've ever heard,

"You were raped and killed in the alley near Logan's house"

I can't believe my ears, my head is spinning and i feel like I can't breathe. That's why logan was so upset! He thinks it's his fault, i am starting to remember that night. Logan was going to walk me home the long, but safe way. I told him it was okay and i walked the shorter more dangerous route. He blames himself for letting me walk that way alone, but if he had gone with me we probably would both be here. Or we would've taken the safer route and I would still be there with him. I feel a tear roll down my cheek,

"It's not your fault babe," I whisper to the air, if only he could hear me.
