"Cinda!" The female exclaims as she reaches view. A huge smile's plastered on her face. My heart expands and I can't help but rejoice in excitement.

"Hey Mia." A sly grin curls the end of my lips. I inhale her wonderful scent of cinnamon and honey. I've missed her.

"I knew it! As soon as," She's cut off by another voice.

"Who knew it?" A male says walking up behind her. My eyes twinkle with joy.

"Gavin." I whisper.

"Hey Darlin'." He says pulling me into a big hug. I sniff his shoulder, relishing in the familiar scent of leather and tobacco. "I knew it was you as soon as we heard our Alpha was chasing a female rogue across three states." He snickers.

"Yeah whatever. I confirmed the assumption as soon as Caiden said they were at the cabin. I knew it could only be you." Mia says pushing Gavin aside and pulling me in for hug.

"I've missed you." I say, holding on very tight.

"I've missed you too." She says. Pulling away from me she asks, "So what are you doing here? Have you found your mate yet?" I quickly look to Caiden and then shake my head no.

"No worries. We have many unmated males, maybe he'll be here – I know he will be." She says reassuringly.

"Yeah, where else could he be?" Dylan says as he and his female leech walk through the front door, his tone challenging me.

"He could be dead." I say nonchalantly and under my breath, though everyone still heard me. This earns me a playful smile from Dylan and a few woes from the crowd. I take a moment to look around the room, there are about a dozen people standing in the living room. It's a good size room with three couches positioned in a U shape and two recliner chairs at each corner. Then off to the side I see a chaise, I've always loved those. That, I decide, will be my spot. A one sided smile tugs at the corner of my lip.

Caiden POV

I watch Mia and Lucinda embrace, my eyes full of question. Mia mind links me and says,

'This is Cinda, the rogue I told you about.' I inhale sharply, now she really has to stay, not only is she my Beta's mate, she saved my little sisters life.

But is she really Dylan's mate? I've known him for almost four years...it's true he likes the ladies. Thought he doesn't use them - they aren't one-night stands. He's honestly trying to make a serious relationship work. He's been a stand-up Beta, but if it's true...everything she said...I shake my head with bitterness in my mouth. Those actions, against your mate, aren't the traits of a Beta I want in my pack. You don't turn your back on your mate.

Can everything she said really be true? What do I know about her? Nothing. She seems genuine...but...there must be another side to the story. I need to talk to Dylan about it. They defiantly have some type of history...

I'm pulled out of my reverie by the amount of power flowing through the room, and it isn't radiating from me. I sense a struggle between Lucinda and Dylan, both staring at each other, him with amusement and mischief in his eyes – her with pain and anger. 'He could be dead.' I hear. Flinching slightly I take in the scene unfolding in front of me. Dylan and Sabrina, his girlfriend of a few months, are inches away from Lucinda. I step closer to her. Placing my hand on her lower back I realize the power is radiating from her. I sniff the air, she's an Alpha. I snicker and Dylan's eyes narrow at me in question. So is that it? He can't handle a woman more powerful than him? I hope that's not the case, it's so childish. I smirk as I grab Lucinda's waist, pulling her closer to me, allowing my Alpha to calm her down.
