Mackenzies POV

I guess you could say I hate November 18th not just because it's my birthday, but I have no one to celebrate with. I heard my phone buzz, and I honestly didn't wanna look at it. As I looked to see who it was after minutes of debating it a big smile came across my face. It was my best friend Samantha.

"Get dressed I'm picking you up in 10 minutes :)"-Samantha

I started to question why she wanted me to get dressed and leave.

"Where are we going Sam?" I texted her confused, but somewhat excited.

"Don't ask just wear something Demi. Might wanna hurry! :)"- Samantha

"I will see you in 10 minutes" I texted anxiously.

I had no idea what to wear. There were so many options consider half of my stuff is Demi related. I finally decided to wear her Neon Lights tour hoodie, and black skinny jeans with my white converses. So many thoughts were going through my head. I rushed downstairs to find my mom making breakfast.

"Good morning sweetheart, and happy birthday." She said smiling.

"Thanks mom, I'm heading out for awhile" I said to her with a soft voice.

"Okay I will tell your father go have fun" She gently kissed my forehead.

I waited outside for what seemed like forever, then Sam finally showed up. She hurried out of the car to open the door for me which was odd.

"Your ride awaits you Madam." She said seriously.

"Whats all the special treatment for." I said blushing.

"You will see when you get there." She giggled.

She shut my car door then rushed to the drivers side. The drive seemed to take forever. We didn't talk much, but she giggled nervously every now and then. Not to long after we arrived to wherever she was taking me.

"So here is your ticket and your VIP pass" She smiled and waited for me to read what it was for.

"NO FUCKING WAY!? TICKETS TO SEE DEMI!?" I yelled excitably.

"Front row seats!" She smiled

"Sam why didn't you tell me?!"

"I wanted to surprise you"

"Well we better get in there" I started sprinting hoping she would catch up.

The show was almost over, and she had pulled out a stool. It was Demi's last song before the meet and greet. She started to sing Nightingale. Her voice carried throughout the stadium, it was beautiful and very comforting. I slowly looked up from when I was looking at my phone to find her looking at me. Her eyes didn't move for what felt like minutes. As the song ended Sam and I headed backstage. All at once we heard screaming girls. There she was, she was even more beautiful in person. She slowly made her way to me, but I was too lost in thought to even realize she said hello.

"Tongue tied?"Demi said smiling.

"Maybe just a little"I said not noticing I was blushing.

"So what's your name?"Demi asked politely.

"Mackenzie."

"Well that's a pretty name, it suits you."She giggled then started to blush.

"So....Uhm" I said nervously.

"Well Mackenzie, I'm gonna go and greet more fans."She said happily.

As she walked past me I felt someones hand slip into my back pocket. I turned back and no one was behind me. I slipped my hand into my pocket to find a neatly folded piece of paper. How did she have the time to even fold that, I didn't care though. I didn't wanna read it until later. Suddenly a loud voice interrupted my thoughts.

"Mackenzie did you see that?!"Sam said loudly.

"See what?"I said extremely confused.

"She was totally hitting on you Kenzie"She said trying not to make it look noticeable.

" I don' think she was. There is no way she could have possibly been flirting with me."I said seriously, because I know Samantha never takes me seriously.

"She obviously was Kenzie"She said laughing hysterically.

As we were leaving the meet and greet Demi's eyes caught mine again for the final time. The whole car ride back to my house she talk about Demi non-stop. I couldn't get her off my mind. Sam wasn't really helping that much. She dropped me off at my house, and I continued upstairs to my room.
