Chapter Four: The Surprise

Demi's POV

I was nervous and had no idea how she would react. As I look over She has her eyes covered, and is trying to hide the fact she is blushing. I have a perfect plan. I have my guitar in the trunk. I had planned on serenading her, but is it too early for that? I guess it's worth a shot. I knew the perfect place for it too. I'm taking her to my favorite spot above the Hollywood sign. I wish I knew what was going on in her beautiful mind though. Hopefully one day she will tell me what she is thinking, if she is thinking about me.

Mackenzie's POV

I honestly have no idea where she is taking me, I don't care as long as I'm with her. I just hope she doesn't look at my wrists. I guess you could say it's a tough subject. I mean for gods sake I still live with my parents, and I'm 19. I just really hope she likes me. Amidst my thoughts I heard her say

"You can open your eyes now"

"Oh my god where are we?"I said amazed by the sight.

"Well we are at my favorite spot. I come here to write music sometimes"She smiled

"Oh wow. It's beautiful Demi. I never knew the city could look so beautiful."

She went and got something out of her trunk. Before I knew it she grabbed me by my wrist and walked with me to her favorite spot. She laid a blanket down on the ground, and gestured for me to sit. She looked so beautiful the way that the sun hit her face. Her eyes glowed and were the prettiest brown I have ever seen. Her short black hair had a shine to it. She just looked so perfect. I didn't even realize I was smiling at the thought of her.

"What's got you all happy?"Demi said blushing.

"I-I-I-Uh You"I stuttered then look away slightly embarrassed

"Well I'm glad you are happy"Demi said before she started to giggle.

I smiled then slowly began to move my bangs out of my face before I knew it I started to hear a very melodic guitar tune. Then she began to sing.

"Wow Demi that was beautiful."I said blushing.

"It hasn't been heard yet."She began to smile.

"You mean I'm the first?"

"I wrote it for you earlier that's why I got you at 3.."She paused then began to blush.

"For me?"

"Yeah...I mean I thought you would like it. Do you not like it?.."She said as the light left from her eyes.

"No I don't like it..."I paused as she began to speak I yelled "I love it!!!" Then I smiled really big and hugged her. She looked extremely surprised.

"Really?!"She said as the light came back to her eyes, and a huge smile came to her face.

"Yes I love it. Anyways sorry about the random Hug.."

She simply smiled "It's okay I was wanting to hug you anyways." She began to giggle.

I just sat there and took in the moment. We probably just sat there and looked into each others eyes for 20 minutes.

"You look beautiful"I said smiling at her.

"Thanks, but I don't compare to you."She said then blushed.

"I may have to go home soon.."I said sadly.

"I can take you home now, but I wanna take a minute and freeze this moment."She said sadly but still smiled at me.

We talked about a lot of random things on the way back to my house. As she pulled into my driveway it got silent. We both laughed awkwardly for a few minutes.

"This was nice thank you Demi."I said in a soft voice. She looked at me like she didn't want me to go. I didn't want to go either.

"You're welcome. Is it okay if I text you later?"She said smiling

"I would love that."

I walked back inside and went upstairs to my room, and let out a small laugh then smiled.
