Nerd Takeover

Chapter 5

Scarlett woke up kind of abruptly, she had a nightmare, that she knew, but couldn't quite remember what about. Her forehead was covered in sweat. She looked at the time, 9:00 A.M. She got out of bed and went to the bathroom, to put her make-up on and get ready for the day. When she's finished, she goes to the kitchen to make some cereal. When she goes to the fridge for the milk, she looks at the calendar, and looks at it for a moment. It was the 28th of February. She started rushing back up stairs, and grabbed her purse, phone, and her script. Today was the day of the play, and she was told the day before to make it to the theater before 9:30 to rehearse and go over their lines.

She ran out the door, and rushed down the sidewalk to the theater as fast as she could. She ran through the door and saw Matt. She started walking towards Matt, when Matt caught her eye, and he ran over to her and swooped her off her feet.

"Guess what, Scar?" Started Matt, "Or should I say Abby?"

"Hmm, what?" Laughed Scarlett.

"Today is the day we get to be able to kiss without your mother giving us weird looks." Matt said with a chuckle.

"Ehh.." Scarlett started, "I don't think it'll change anything with that."

Matt thought for a short moment. Until he finally said, "I guess you're right, at least she likes me enough not to slap me"

"Yeah...." Said Scarlett

"EVERYONE!" Nate yelled loud enough to gather the attention of the cast. "The play starts at 4:00, okay? That leaves us with about 7 in a half hours, so, breakfast is being served backstage, for about thirty minutes, then we will rehearse until afternoon. Then we'll have lunch, and rehearse until 3:00, then we'll go back stage and wait for the show to begin. I trust everyone knows their parts. Now if anyone has any question, talk to me during breakfast, otherwise, go get some grub, and meet back in about thirty minutes. Ready? Go!"

Matt grabs for Scarletts' hand, and they make themselves backstage, where they eat and go over their parts together.
