I hope everyone enjoys this fan fic! Im a big fan of Sword Art Online and wanted to write a little story on it.

*YAWN!!!* I woke up on a plain of silk grass. Plus, it was snowing, that's a start.

" 'sigh' another day in...what the-"

"Your awake!!"A girl sitting down next to me suddenly hugged me so tight I could barely breathe.

"Excuse me?..but who are you? Should I know you or something?"

Her face turned red. "C'mon Jay!! It's me, Shizuka! Do I look different or something?!". "Um...". She really did look way younger than usual. But the real question is, where am I?

" I woke up next to you, but in a tree...at least were not alone. Who knows what's out here".

I stood up and looked around, all there was were trees and an orange sky...sunset. Dragons flew in the air, towns migrated with people, and creatures that roam around looking for prey.

We better be careful out here, I thought.

"Hey, when you were napping, I found something weird. Flick your finger down".

I did and a white screen popped up. It said 'MENU'. Hmm...a menu, is this a game? Are we trapped in a game where we have to survive?

" Well it has other things...like a touch screen, when you hit something another selection pops up. Pretty neat".

"Um...hey, just so you know your hair and eyes are different...plus above your head says Galaxy...everything else is fine". I had to tell her, she might find one of our friends and get pissed if they don't remember her.

" Really?! I didn't know that. I thought I looked the same... "

"C'mon Shizu, lets take a look around", I insisted. There might be some cool things around here. If it is a game, then there are usually pretty good loot just sitting there. So I swiped open the menu (So awesome :]) and went to the weapon section. What is this?, I thought. Maybe this is a game.

A sharp sword called "HERO'S BLADE". I messed around with it while we walked to a big town in the distance, killing boars. Time to meet some civilians.
