Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

A month later

It was the day before Christmas, a perfect time to visit my older brother in Florida. I dragged the cooler out side and into the grass. I picked up some snow off the ground and dropped it in the cooler. In about 3 minutes, it was full. I called my dad and told him I was going to go visit Nicolas.

"Nicolas?" dad had asked. "You want me to drop you off at his place?"

I nodded. "Correct. It's cause... It's been so long and I just need to see him again."

"Mhmm... I'll be there in 5."

"See you then." I smiled and hung up.

A few minutes later my dad arrived and I hopped on his jeep. It was a long drive, but my dad would do anything for family.

It took us 3 days to get there, and it was already past Christmas day. When my dad pulled up to my brothers driveway, I picked up the cooler and placed it on the warm grass. I rang the doorbell and then ran back to the cooler, picked a pile of snow in my hand and formed a snowball. I hoped that Nick would come out before the snowball started to melt.

Luckily, it didn't take long. The door opened and I saw his face.

I grinned and threw the snowball, which hit him in the chest. "Merry Christmas Nick!"

He looked down at the snow on his shirt and then back at me.

"Jay?" He said, a smile forming on his face.

I grinned back at him, as he ran forward and quickly grabbed a ball of snow and chucked it hard at my head. I stumbled backwards and he ran and tackled me down. We stood up and laughed as we have each other a brotherly hug.

Dad stood next to his jeep crossing his arms and smiling. Nicolas went to him and hugged dad.

"It's been so long, you two..." Nicolas says. "Are you staying for Christmas?"

"Deffinetly," I replied.

Nicolas smiled and invited us inside. We met his wife, Hannah, and we all talked in the living room.

Later, a full moon rose up, and we lay in the yard staring at it. Even his wife had come out to lay with us.
