"You didn't even stop!"
"-I waited for you to come but you never did!"
"You hit me! You hit me with your car and you never stopped!!!"
"I'm sorry"
"Sorry? Oh you're sorry?"
"I'd do anything to relive that night so I could have been better."
"I was planning my suicide that night, and you hit me. You didn't even stop when I flew over your windshield."
"I was scared."
"Oh well, if you were scared then it's perfectly fine, right?"
"I'm sorry! Okay, I'm sorry!"
"Sorry isn't going to put my spine back in place, sorry isn't going to fix my heart . . . sorry isn't going to stop the nightmares. Sorry does not cut it."
"If you were about to kill yourself then why does it matter?"
"Are you serious?"
"I loved you!"
"..."
"I would have taken a bullet for you, but instead you ran me over, like a bug. Squish!"
"It wasn't like that."
"Then how was it?"
"I don't know, it just, it wasn't like that."
"I'm leaving," she sighs, grabbing her bag.
"Wait!" My voice bounces off the tombs.
"What?" She turns around tears streaming down her face, slushing through the scars indented on her.
"I love you too." The words spill from my mouth like a painting falling from a tower, colors streaming from every way.
She doesn't respond, instead she pops her umbrella up and continues walking. Why does she do this?
I turn around, and begin walking to my car. She can just go if she wants I couldn't care less.
I stumble into the drivers seat, huffing at the cold biting at my sleeve. I hiss when the air comes out colder.
A light tap sounds at my window. I turn to the side to see her standing there in the rain, water slipping through her unruly hair and her mascara smearing. But she doesn't need make up.
I open the door, she comes tussling in as I grab her body and embrace. She's freezing and soaked; I don't care. I need her.
I crave this woman.
She brings her lips to mine before I can even say anything. My body ignites in a fire I've felt once and that was when I put my hand on a stove. We don't stop. Why stop? The love didn't need to. We sat there in my car making-out for hours, just listening to soft Pierce The Veil singing of heart-ache. My heart only aches for one woman, and that's the girl shivering on my lap.
She kisses my cheek before hopping into the passenger seat, peering at me with those big jet blue eyes. Her mascara and black eye-liner frown at the rain, her royal-blue hair cringing.
She still looks beatifully tragic.
"Don't you dare leave me again," She whimpers as my hand grabs hers, I bring it to my lips, warming it up before kissing it gently. She blushes, and it's the cutest thing in the entire universe.
"I have to be with you," she coos into my ear. My body aches and I have to kiss her. I have to; if I don't I'll die. I will burn into the fire we are!
We lay there for hours, just the slight hum of our breaths to break the silence.
"Why didn't you stop?" The words slap me cold in the face.
Why didn't I stop?
