-Sage's POV-

The previous night took to a drag. They pressed for explanations as to why I was late. "The flight was delayed," I'd boldly lie through my teeth. It wasn't a matter of not trusting them, I'd place my life in Thalia's hands, but this was a secret between myself and the danger.

I sighed as I sat down on the bed, a black ink pen dancing elegantly across the dancefloor that was the page of my diary which held the secrets of my life. The sun had risen only fifteen minutes ago and it was early but I could tell that it would be my only free time today.

Dear diary,
Yes, I'm stressed. Yesterday I couldn't write about the way watching them leave hurt and I already miss mom's yelling at me to get up yet here I am, 6:17 am, writing to you. I saw someone yesterday and he made me feel like the danger would..just a bit toned down. I only blacked out. There was no pain. However, my secrets remain in my mind alone. I do hope though that I can someday come face to face with this..whatever this is.

I tuck the diary into my napsack and made my way downstairs barefooted straight into the kitchen. To my dismay, that messy dish Jane brought yesterday was gone. Oh joy, I was dependent on that this morning. Grabbing a tea bag and a mug, I begin to warm myself for the long day ahead.

Professor's POV

The bell rung loud and hard. Was it just me or was it at it's loudest at the end of the day? Slowly the students began to pile into the auditorium. The all sat murmuring amongst themselves as though I couldn't hear the gossip. "He's too young!" One line I'd heard so many times that always brings a smirk to my lips. And then comes in the girl with dancing flames that is her hair accompanied by her usual friends minus the supermodel. How I've longed to see her again. Again. As though I'd seen her before even though I hadn't. I'd only sensed her long before her birth and that force between us is still there.

Third Person's POV

The whispers toned down a bit but the eyes were glued to the young professor from Guelf University, Canada. Sage kept her eyes on him but barely captured a word he was saying. It was him! The guy from the airport...the dan--no. He could not be. He would've come for her if he was. He had dark hair that reached just above his shoulders and eyes that could almost compel you to sin. She was much taken with him and Thalia was taken with the speech. Robin sighed, hands deep in her pockets as she left the room yet Thalia didn't seem to notice.

In the field, a Jane, much uninterested in a university seminar, was changed from her usual attire of skirts and pastel blouses to comfortable shorts and a fitted tee with knee high socks and shoes meant for trudging across the dirt. A soccer ball hit the net and she placed her hands on her hips as she blowed, breathing deeply as the sweat ran down her face and neck.

"Hmmmn.." Robin mumbled as she stepped into the pavilion, careful to not attract attention to herself. Another soccer ball was on the ground and waiting for the assault from Jane's feet. Rabin watched closely and waited for the moment Jane would slip and fall. She brought the ball into the air with her feet and began doing keep ups, a smile on her lips like none seen before. Then she let it hit her chest and fall to the ground where it met the other in the goal.

She raised her hands in the air and kicked her head back. "Yes!" She whispered before the loud clapping came into earshot. With a swift movement she turned to see Robin smirking at her.
"What?!" She snapped.
"Can't I applaud you? That was damn good from a Victoria's Secret model don't ya think?" Robin smirked, reaching just a few feet away from Jane.
"I'll have you know I've been at it since I was a kid," Jane rolled her eyes and moved to take another ball into her possession but Robin was much quicker.
"I'll have you know I can kick your ass," Robin challenged and started running.
Jane moved fast, angling herself at every possible opportunity to take the ball and finally succeeded, kicking it straight into the goal resulting with her pulling a face at an awestruck Robin.

"Not bad," Robin shrugged. The game would continue, both parties scoring equal amounts of goals and bickering over foul play. The deserted field was filled with laughter and a sense of joy that neither of the girls had ever seen in each other before. Finally, after much arguing over the winning goal, they both settled to a tie and sat on the ground. Jane laid on her back, her hands behind her head as she stared up at the darkening sky and it's rainbow of hues that lightened the soul.

"Why don't you train with Liam? Better yet, join the team!" Robin sat, her knees up and her elbows resting on them as she held a ball in her hands. She looked over at the reclined girl. "I don't want the attention," the reply was but a murmur and Robin simply nodded. "You play damn good, I'll give you that." Jane smiled at the words. "You do too. Maybe some other time we could have a fair match." "That was fair!" Robin exclaimed. "Who sounds like the girl now?" Jane commented and they both burst out yet again in laughter.

It was finally over and Sage got up. Thalia left to talk with one of the chemistry professors but Sage's eyes were glued to his. She didn't even catch his name. What she didn't know was that his intention was to find her and so they bumped into each other. "I'm on the run," he nodded over his shoulder to reveal a group of blushing girls and Sage laughed.

"I'm Sage Aldaine, pleasure to meet you professor..." and she stopped, her hand out on front of her frozen in motion as she racked her brain. "Damien," he took her hand in hers and it wasn't cold, like she assumed the danger would be. She offered a warm smile and absent-mindedly both of them made their way just outside the doors of the crowded hall.

"Finally some space," he laughed softly and she did too though it was brief lived. "Bio-chem, right? I'm aiming for there." She spoke, trying to make less of a fool of herself. He nodded. "I can tell you are a diligent student, I can help get you accepted Miss Aldaine," he smiled and as though he could read her mind..
"How--" she began. "Twenty two" he replied. Short and answering her unfinished question. Up close he was much more handsome than the short glance at the airport and the stares from across the room and she was so taken up she hadn't notice his eyes on her.

"I'm here for a week, I've got another school in the area to do yet another seminar for. I'm sure you'd be free if you'd like to accompany the team? If not.."

"I'd love to!" Her excitement was evident and it took everything in him to hide his smirk.

"Well.." he pulled a card out of his wallet and placed it into her open palm. "You're free to notify me whenever, just so I'll have some means of contact to let you know when?" His eyes looked slightly hopeful then again, that's all she seemed to observe.

"Uh..of course. When I get home I will," she nodded vigorously and he laughed, lifting her half to place a kiss on it before slipping back inti the room. She took in a deep breath and walked a short distance away before her face broke into a smile.
