S/N: I wanted to write this chapter, and probably the most of the book, in first person so that you as the reader can get a better feeling of what's going on and get to know the characters better. Hope you enjoy.

She was supposed to meet me here. Why wasn't she here yet? She was always on time. Never late. I was confused so I drove around the block looking for her. She was nowhere to be found. I became more frustrated the longer I waited so I left.

On my way home I jammed a song from this new artist I was signing. Her name is Ariel and she was amazing. Happy to have her on the team now. The song was called "Waiting" so it just reminded me of her. Reminded me of how long I waited and she never came. It had me all in my feelings but I loved the song.

I was driving 20 miles before the speed limit because I wasn't in my right mind. I really needed to talk to her. But whatever. I put the thought to the back of my mind and continued to drive home.

When I arrived home I noticed my wife's deep purple Cadillac parked in my spot. I didn't mind though. I just parked on the other side.

I sat in my car for a minute to gather my thoughts. "You have to tell her.", I said to myself. I was afraid to tell her. I swear it all felt like a bad nightmare.

I finally got the nerve to get out the car and go inside. I walked to the door and just stood there for a second. I opened the door and walked in. My heart almost jumped out my chest. My soul left my body. I got sick to my stomach a little.

"Hey, babe.", I heard my wife say to me, but my eyes were locked on her. Chanel.

"What's up, bae.", I finally said. My attention was now to my wife.

"Babe, this is my sister Chanel. Chanel this is my crazy and late husband Jameel." She put emphasis on the late because we were supposed to be going out to dinner tonight and I promised I would be home early.

She gave me a kiss on the lips. Just a peck. And to my surprise it seemed as if it didn't phase Chanel.

"Hi.", she said in a soft toned voice.

"What's up." , was all I could manage to say.

I couldn't stop staring at her. She was beautiful. I decided not to stare long. I didn't want my wife to suspect anything. At least, not before I got a chance to tell her.

"Imma go shower and get dressed so we can go. Did you make the reservations?", I asked my wife trying to avoid eye contact with Chanel.

"Yes, babe. Now hurry up! You gone make us late!", she laughed while playfully pushing me towards towards the stairs.

I jogged up the stairs and went towards me and Diamond's room. Before I reached our bedroom I was stopped by my son.

"What's up, old man?" My son walked up to me and dapped me up.

"What's up, lil nigga." I joked. We both shared a laugh.

"You better hurry up and get dressed. You know how mom get when we late.", he reassured me.

" Yea. I'm bout to head to the shower now. I'll see you downstairs."

"Yea." He replied

My son and I have a real cool relationship. He's at the age now where we can kick it and shit. I ain't gotta be hard on him cause he chose to not be in the streets.

I walked to our bedroom and opened the double French doors. I say on it California king sized bed. I just sat there thinking about what the doctor told he earlier. "I'm sorry Mr. Roman, but the test came back positive." That's all I really heard the doctor say.

While sitting on the bed thinking the only person who would cross my mind was Chanel. "How could I let a prostitute steal my heart from my wife. Diamond and I have been rocking together since high school. Me and Chanel only knew each other for a year. Cheating on my wife was horrible but it felt so right with Chanel. Now I have to face the consequences. I have to tell her. And soon.
