Chapter 1 Enemy

Aphmau's POV

It's been a year since Zane wanted to take Garroth and marry me for power. I rather marry Garroth because I like him. Yes, I did confess but not to him, though. Garroth has been there with me the entire time.

"Lady Aphmau" a familiar voice said.

"Yes, Garroth and please Garroth call me Aph or Aphmau" I replied smiling.

"Yes Lady Aph-" I raised my eyebrows showing him to not call me that.

"Sorry...... Aph" He stared at the floor for no reason, but it was cute.

"That's much better, Garroth" I giggled.

Garroth looked up and smiled but then his smiled faded.

"What's wrong Garroth?" I asked getting in front of him.

"He is at the gates" He sighed while looking at me.

Before he can say whether or not to go, I stomped out into the village. With anger I stomped all the way to the gates. Everyone that I was stomping by looked at me curiously. I didn't care. All I want is him to be gone. Forever. As I approach the gates, Garroth caught up with me and glared daggers at him.

"What do you want, Zane" I gritted my teeth and glared daggers at Zane.

"Your hand in marriage, my love" He smirked.

"As if! I rather marry Garroth than an evil guy like you! Besides, who would want to marry a devil like you?" I protested "And don't you EVER say that word again!"

When I said those words, I realized his guards weren't there. They're not around the perimeters. I hope.

"Fine, Aph" I growled at what he just called me.

Only people who are good can say my name/nickname!

"Enough, Zane! Stop being a st-" Garroth came to stand up but Zane cut him off.

"Oh shut it, BIG BROTHER! You can't even come up with and insult. What a shame brother. What a shame" Zane shook his head disappointed in Garroth.

"Oh would you shut up, Zane! You are-"
I screamed but Zane cut me off, JUST LIKE GARROTH! WHY DOES ZANE JUST LET US FINISH?!?

"Ooh the Lord is going to insult me! I'm so scared!" He sarcastically waved his hands as if he was scared.

"Let me finish Zane. You.Are.A.Big.Wimp"
I yelled again.

"How am I a wimp?" Zane protested.

"Because you can't even fight without your guards!"

Then the insults kept going on and on. Until Garroth got annoyed.

"WOULD YOU TWO SHUT UP!! YOU GUYS ARE ACTING LIKE KIDS!" Garroth yelled annoyed.

"That's true. I hate to admit it but it's true" I sighed.

In a blink of an eye, Zane vanished. Garroth and I looked around to see if there is any traces of Zane. Nothing.

"Ugh I can't believe he got away!" I screamed in frustration.

"It's ok, Aph. Next time we'll get him" Garroth said in a soothing voice.

I gave him a little nod and walked home with Garroth behind me. When we got to my place, Garroth left while I checked up on Levin and Malachi. Levin was hanging out in his room, but no Malachi.

"Levin, where is Malachi?" I asked with worry in my heart.

"Malachi is with Laurance" He replied with a concerned facial expression.

"Ok, Levin and don't worry, we will find him. Thank you anyways!" I replied and ran out into the outside world.

Think Aphmau think where would Laurence be? I thought walking around. Maybe the plaza? Wait! The guard tower! Of course! Just when I thought of the guard tower, I started to run. I passed by everyone, I didn't care if they looked at me curiously. But, but all I need to know is, where is Laurence and Malachi.

I kept passing through until my feet can't carry me no more. Eventually, I made it to the guard tower, panting, slamming the door open. To see something I never would see in my life.

"HOW IN THE WORLD, DID MY DOG GET THERE? AND HOW, WHEN, HOW DID YOU BECOME. HUMAN?!" I screamed flabbergasted.

"I don't know, mom" he replied calmly "I was just playing with Levin, I didn't notice I was a REAL human until Laurence came in and screamed Hey Ma- OH BABY JEBUS SINCE WHEN DID YOU BECOME...... REAL?! I didn't know what he was talking about until I looked down to see skin. MY. SKIN!"

"Malachi. I can't believe it!" I squealed, hugging Malachi.

"Do you still love me, mom?" He asked with worry in his eyes.

"Even if you are a human or not, I still love you" I reassured.

Just then....

The walls smashed into smithereens. Dust filled the room, and........

Garroth appeared. In his shadow knight form. I gasped thinking what did I do to him, causing Garroth to be in a Jury of Nine form? No, what did we do?
