Chapter 3 New Girl

Aphmau's POV
The gleaming sun shined on me. I kept walking on the "endless road" on a sunny day, minding my own business. Birds whistling, and soaring through the sky. Free with no problems at all. Unlike me, why does this happen to only me? Sometimes I even think it's my fault for being here.

Why can't I disappear from this world? Better yet, never been born.

Tears slipped down my cheek. I just kept walking, putting my head down hiding my depression. I had to suck it up. I had to keep going. And I had to help these people who I care for. I finally rose my head and saw me staring into Aaron.

"What's wrong?" He asked. Even if I couldn't see his eyes, I could tell he was worried.

"N-nothing" I sniffled, rubbing my eyes with the back of my wrist.

Get a grip, APHMAU! No time to get sad now! We made it this far! I can't give up!

"You sure?"

"Yes, Aaron I'm fine just want to go on a stroll" I lied.

"Ok-ay, but why is your eyes red?"

"Just tired"

"Well, ok, see ya later" he waved good bye and walking away saying "you can talk to me anytime you want"

I manage to make a crooked smile, actually just standing there like an idiot. He is a very great friend I have to admit. But I don't feel anything more than a friend.

As I was being an idiot, I went back to strolling through the village. Meanwhile, I passed by the gates of the village and saw a
..........another Meif'wa? As I walked closer, I could tell she saw me.

"Ahh! Excuse me!" She looked at me "I was wondering if Kawaii~Chan was here?"

I quickly told Laurance to open the gates. She ran up to me and hugged the living soul out of me.

"Um....c-can you l-let g-go?" I asked gasping for air. She heard my voice gasping for air and let go.

"I'm sooooo sorry!!!" She apologized.

She is pretty. Shiny and black hair going down to the hips, sun kissed skin, dark brown eyes, like Kawaii~Chan's ears, her's was purple. And she also has a cute bangs covering her right eye a little while her hair was all down. She even has a thin flannel up to her wrist covering her shirt with "Messy Hair Don't Care", blue tights and gray boots, carrying a skateboard (most of these are not based on the theme but whatever! My book, my imagination!).

"Hey! Nice to meet you. The names Melissa" She shook her hand out with her available hand.

"Lady Aphmau" I replied, gradually shaking her hand.

"So. I heard the lord was a guy magnet, and super sweet! And might I say tough?" She giggled "I also needed to see her if she can let me stay in this place. Better than O'kasis"

"Well, luckily I approve of you staying here, I am the lord so......." I trailed off.

"So?" She mocked.

I giggled a little and asked something " You went to O'kasis?"

The girl with the skateboard, nodded then she began to talk "Not the best place to be. I hate it there! My parents were killed. My family was killed and my friends! Except Kawaii~Chan"

Boy was she tough. She didn't even let down one drop of tear.

"Oh I s-"

"Hey t-" Laurance introduced himself, well introduced himself to the floor.

With the girls one swift move, Laurance was down. I stared shocked at the girl's movement.

"Oh my gosh! I'm sorry!" She scrambled up to her feet and gave Laurance a hand.

Laurance accepted it and got on his feet..... Blushing?

"Heh, it's not good to just sneak up on a person. Ya never know if they know self defense!" She winked at Laurance.

Laurance stood quiet and kept staring at Melissa.

"Anyways! Are you a Meif'wa?" I asked curiously.

"Yes, indeed I am" she bowed.

"Why are you bowing?"

"Well, since you're the lord here, might as well be nice"

"True, but you don't have to be formal, about-"

"LORD APHMAU WATCH OUT!!" He came running pointing his sword out to Melissa.

As he was about to hit Melissa, she dodged while grabbing the Garroth's wrist that had the sword and make it go behind his back.

"Why, Are you pointing that sword at me?" The Meif'wa spat at the armored guy.

"What are you doing here? Melissa?" He whimpered as she kept pushing his arm, "or should I say Melissa, Zane's Apprentice"
