After a few days I had got the hang of the survival rules. Basically all I had to do was hide from everyone literally. Today was Saturday, the day people had visitors, I looked up from my bed to see Pansy and Niddy getting ready.
"Who's your visitor?" A week a go I wouldn't have asked but I have realised these two girls are friends for life, Pansy has stuck up for me a few times proving my statement.
"Our brother he's twenty, we rarely see him because he works abroad" Niddy screeched with the biggest smile I had seen anyone give since I had been here.
"Are you going to get ready for your visitor?" Pansy asked confused.
I sat up. "I suppose I should get dressed but I'm not exactly expecting visitors"
Although I said this cool and calmly it broke me inside knowing that Even that beatiful bully boy cole probably has visitor and I have nobody hurt.
I pushed these thoughts from my head not allowing my self to be reminded of my mum showered and dressed.
I made my way down the stairs alone because Pansy and Niddy had already left while I was in the shower.
BUMP!
I had bumped into cole normally I would cower and apologise but my thoughts were elsewhere and I really wasn't in the mood so I ignored him and carried on walking.
I was expecting him to come and hit me but instead he laughed and carried on down the stairs behind me. Well that was weird...
I sat in my usual spot for breakfast between the boys dreading what Cole might do, but instead just. Like before he did nothing, well. Actually I tell a lie he smiled at me!
I couldn't believe my eyes. The cook dolloped porridge in my bowl so instead of swelling on what just happend I ate my food as quick as possible.
A women in a black suit a tied up blonde hair walked into the room.
"As you all know it's visiting day, if I pass you a white sheet you may continue into the living room if you do not I'm afraid nobody is coming to see you an you must head to my right and back to your room"
I had to bite back the lump in my throat, now everybody would know I'm a nobody.
I was about to leave the table and head up to my room to save my self the embarrassment when I was handed a white sheet.
"You must have the wong person I don't have any visitors!" I said handing back the sheet.
The woman from before read through the sheet and handed it back.
"No Aime this is deffinatly your sheet Josh will be here in 10 minutes.
As I left the dinning room I couldn't help but notice how many people had nobody to visit. This included Cole.
my heart went out to them, my feelings were soon replaced with anger when I realised I was about to see josh why was he visiting? To mock me? To rub it in my face that he had left me?
I sat on the window ledge and waited.
"Hey Aime" he spoke nervously not sure what to say.
I just looked at him.
"How you feeling, do you like it here?" He sat next to me on the window ledge away from everybody else.
Before answering I scanned the room and inwardly smiled when I seen Niddy an Pansy with there brother. I also noticed my new friend Gabby with her crazy Aunty Lou. Gabby was only & but more street wise then I ever was at that age.
"It's Fine"
He reached out for my hand.
"Look Aime you can't hate me forever it's by my fault my dad put you here I told you I would visit every week and look here I am"
I squeezed his hand as a tear escaped my eye. No! I had to be strong.
"You dropped me here then ran off like I was infectious disease, not even a proper good bye"
He looked at me with heart sorry eyes, my heart just melted.
"Aime your all I've thought about all week, seeing you today was all I thought about, that day my dad dragged me off and said it was easier for the both of us"
I looked down realising I had over reacting of course Josh wouldn't leave me like that, I ha recently found out that Josh was actually 15 nearly 16 but had ended up in the wrong class when he first started school when he met me he decided to stay in my class until he was caught. If he would do that for me what would make me think he would leave me here Alone.
"I'm so sorry Josh I can't believe I even thought you would leave me." I wanted to lighten up the subject to cheer my self up.
"It's my birthday next week Thursday I'll be 14"
Josh had a shocked expression on his face.
"Mine too I'll be 16!"
I couldn't believe it our birthday was on the same day how weird! I hugged Josh and held onto him for ages maybe even to long, but hey he was like the older brother I never had.
"It's time for me to go but I'll be back to take you out for our birthdays" He smiled.
I gave him one last hug then headed into the game room with a smile on my face.
"Is that your boyfriend?"
I turned to see Cole. I didn't reply at first I was confused as to why he was Talking to me.
"I ASKED YOU a question"
He was getting. Angry with me but trying to keep hold of his temper.
"I uh no he's my." I paused. "My brother"
I felt warm inside, I ha a brother not blood related of course, but that didn't matter I had somebody to call my own. I don't feel as empty.
"Ok" and with an expressionless face he walked away.
I stared after him confused and scared.
