She slowly pulled her head away, leaving her legs to swing freely off the pier into the opaque water. I look up at the retired battlefield, the glowing floods glinting in my eyes. My stomach lurches as a body rises, and the rippling disturbances become more apparent.
"Look, look at all the colors!"
Tuli stares at the swirling mass of water, her deep blue eyes following the ever changing colors. She looks up with wide eyes, and our gazes lock. I sit down next to her and watch the horizon, both of us, waiting, thinking~
