Oh shit shit shit! Why did I say that! I didn't mean to, it just sorta slipped out!
I look over at Alektra and she's talking to Jessica as if nothing happened. Maybe she didn't hear me after all and if she did that would nake things awkward.
"So Jessica are you and Imara a thing now? You guys have been hanging out quite a bit" Alektra said poking Jessica's cheek, but she swatted it away blushing.
"No!...It's just that we find each other....nice to be with" Jessica said looking at her toes, haven forgotten about the ice cream.
"Sounds like a couple to me, don't you think so Sophia?" Alektra said with a grin on her face looking in my eyes.
I stuttered an answer "I...I don't think so they could just be good friends.." I say looking back I could see a flash of disappointment in her eyes, but it was quickly masked with a smile.
"Oh yeah good friends, I totally forgot that was an option!" Alektra said sarcastically and her attention was back on Jessica.
"What do you mean you forgot, your good friends with Sophia aren't you? Or maybe-"
"No." Alektra said it gravely, but then said on a happier note. "She's far too straight for me," She said laughing.
I faked laugh "And she's far too gay for me!"
"Who's far too gay for what?" Imara said approaching the table.
After that, we just had a nice normal conversation.
Alektra P.O.V.
"I have to go back to your room to get my book..." I told Sophia as we were walking back to our dorm.
"But we haven't finished studying!" She pouted and I found it so adorable....But that won't be enough to change how I feel.
"I just really feel like being in my dorm...It has nothing to do with you...it's just..." I trailed off hoping that she will just drop it.
"Just what?"

"Is it about what I said at the ice cream parlor?"Asked Sophia concerned. When I didn't say anything she said "I'm sorry, I don't know why I even said that.."
"You know what, you can keep the book I'll get it some other day" I turned toward my dorm room and I felt her cold hand wrap around my wrist which made me shiver.
"Don't go..." She mumbled under her breath.
"No, I have to." I pulled my hand away from her grasp and walked to my dorm.
