Chapter 2

"Wake up!" Mom shouted as she revealed broad daylight out of my window. We're the type of vampires that can walk in the daylight, so sunlight doesn't affect us. I don't know why people think that sunlight burns us; it's just a myth.

I groaned, I really didn't want to get up, but just then when I remembered today was the day, I jumped out of bed without saying a word and dashed to the bathroom and did my routine.

"Okay then. At least your up," we both heard Ella just start crying, "Her Highness just woke up, I gotta go! I'll make breakfast!" Mom chuckled, and ran out of my room, and into Ella's room. I heard Ella screaming and crying because Mom wasn't there for a second, attending her other daughter, IF SHE HASN'T NOTICED. She's such a baby. -.- When the crying stop, I hear the blender start up, and then stops. Probably one of those blood-strawberry-cherry smoothies. Yum! I finished my routine and started pulling on my skinny jeans, taking off my shirt and putting on my Geek crop top. I applied my makeup and straightened my brunette hair, and put on some combat boots. I darted downstairs and sat down in the kitchen, out of breath.

"You look so pretty today, Brey!" Mom sighed.

"Thanks! I'm so excited and nervous!!" I squealed as I gulped down the delicious red beverage. I literately could not stop thinking about today! It's been like, 6 years since I've been in a school!

"But more importantly, you have to focus on the education. Not the boys, Brey. Oh, and don't bite anyone either, I know it's tempting, but try not to, okay?" She smiled sweetly again at me, forcing me to follow her rule; but there she goes again, following the Vampire Handbook. Can't even believe that's a thing. Plus, I don't even like biting people or killing animals. I always tell her that, but for some reason, she never listens. I still love her though. :)

"I know, I know!" I said, looking her in the eye, letting her know I won't do any of those things.

Mom then said to me, "What are you most excited about?" asking me like she was the question woman and I was the one being interviewed.

Then I remembered. My B.F.F.L.A.E.A.L. was still here, all the way back from when we were in elementary school! Oh, and that stands for Best Friend For Life and Even After Life. I still don't even know how I remember that. I wonder if she remembers that.

"Lily!" I squealed "Lily! She's going to be here, at this school, today!! I get to see my best friend!!" I'm acting so childish right now!

"Ohh! I remember her! I didn't know she was going to your school! I'm so glad you'll know at least someone!" Mom exclaimed! She's right though; without her, I wouldn't know anyone at all! I'd be so lonely. I can't wait to see her!

"I wonder if she's changed-Oh my gosh, you gotta start walking," eyeing the clock, "Love you sweetie! Have an Amazinglicious day!"

I looked at the clock and gasped, I DID have to go!

"Love you mom, bye!" I rushed out of the door and started on the walk of my first day.
