Chapter 3

Selena was shocked. The moon her mother, it couldn't be. Selena was afraid of what her stepmother would do if she found out. Selena had to act quick, she had to escape the castle. Selena went of into the the kitchen with the letter in her hand. She looked for food but didn't find any. "What are you doing down here so late at night," Catherine whispered, "aunt Catherine I have to leave the castle, I found the letter that dad wrote to you before he died," Selena replied, "where did you find it," asked Catherine with a shocked look on her face. "I know that the moon is my mother, but I have to escape the castle tonight, if Minerva finds out she'll kill me for sure," Selena replied. "Then you have to leave," Catherine replied." "Come with me," Selena asked her aunt. "I wish but I have to stay here,hopefully we will see each other again I promise," Catherine replied to her as she kissed her on the forehead. "Go quickly take your horse from the stables he will recognize you, you used to play with him when you were younger before she hid you in the tower. Catherine replied to her as Selena said goodbye and ran to the stables. "Hello  beautiful," Selena whispered to a dark black horse. The horse looked at her and nuzzled her. "Hi Lucky, looks like you remember me," Selena whispered as she mounted her horse. "Let's go," she whispered in Lucky's ear. Suddenly he started running he ran as fast as lightning. "Help me mom," Selena whispered to the moon who was big and bright. She left the castle and wondered off to the forest not knowing where she would go next.
